HomeMy WebLinkAbout18824 ORD - 05/14/1985AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $48,154 OUT OF N0. 209 COMMUNITY CONVENTION FACILITY BOND FUND FOR THE PURCHASE OF EQUIPMENT FOR THE CONVENTION CENTER, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. There is hereby appropriated $48,154 out of No. 209 Community Convention Facility Bond Fund for the purchase of the equipment as shown on Exhibit "A" attached hereto. SECTION 2. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council members, copy attached, to find and declare an emergency due to the need to appropriate the abovementianed funds at the earliest practicable date, such finding of an emergency 1s made and declared requiring suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration and voting upon ordinances or resolutions at three regular meetings so that this ordinance is passed and shall take effect upon first reading as an emergency measure this the 14th day of May, 1985.
