T%-05-0036, BOND FUND PROJECT N0. 218-72-4, TRANSIT SYSTEM
CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS (1978), AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI,
TEXAS
SECTION 1. There is hereby appropriated 545,000 out of the No. 218
Transit Bond Fund ProJect No. 218-72-4, Transit System Capital Improvements
(1978) for the purpose of acquiring bus stop signs ($15,000) and bus shelters
($30,000), as provided in UMTA Capital Grant Protect No. T%-05-0036.
SECTION 2. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council
members, copy attached, to find and declare an emergency due to the need to
appropriate the abovementioned funds at the earliest practicable date, such
finding of an emergency is made and declared requiring suspension of the Charter
rule as to consideration and voting upon ordinances or resolutions at three
regular meetings so that this ordinance 1s passed and shall take effect upon
first reading as an emergency measure tins the 14th day of May, 1985.
