AUTHORIZING THE REMOVAL AND REPLACEMENT OF APPROXIMATELY 300
LINEAR FEET OF CURB AND GUTTER ALONG THE SOUTH SIDE OF
ACUSNNET DRIVE BY BELLWETHER CONSTRUCTION COMPANY;
APPROPRIATING $4,875; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY
BE IT ORDAINED 0Y THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI,
TEXAS.
SECTION 1. That the removal and replacement of approximately 300
linear feet Of curb and gutter along the south side of Acushnet Drive at Weber
Road by Bellwether Construction Company is hereby authorized.
SECTION 2. That there is hereby appropriated $4,875 from the No. 220
Street Bond Fund.
SECTION 3 That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council
members, copy attached, to find and declare an emergency due to the need to take
immediate action to preserve and protect public property by expediting the
construction of public improvements, such finding of an ergency is made and
declared requiring suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration and voting
upon ordinances or resolutions at three regular meetings so that this ordinance
is passed and shalltake effect upon first reading as an emergency measure this
the 14th day of May, 1985.
