AN ORDINANCE
AUTHORIZIIIG THE EXECUTION OF A CONTRACT WITH OCEANSIDE
ASPHALT, INC. FOR THE IMPROVEMENTS TO ANNAVILLE AREA, PHASE
I1; APPROPRIATING 81,500,000, AUTHORIZING A DRIVEWAY
VARIANCE ON LOT 8-5, MEDFORD SUBDIVISION, ANO DECLARING AN
EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI,
SECTION I. That the City Manager is hereby authorized to execute a
contract with Oceanside Asphalt, Inc. for the street and drainage improvements
to Annaville Area, Phase II, all a e fully set forth in plans and
specifications and contract documents r
on file in the office of the City
Secretary, alt of which are made a part hereof by reference and according to the
bid of Oceanside Asphalt, Inc., said bid being the lowest and most advantageous
to the City of Corpus Christi.
SECTION 2. That there is hereby appropriated $1,500,000 from the
Na. 220 Street Bond Fund.
SECTION 3. That there is hereby authorized a driveway variance to
permit the construction of an 80 -foot wide driveway an Lot 8-B,Medford
Subdivision at Heizer Drive.
SECTION 4. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council
members, copy attached, to find and declare an emergency due to the need to take
immediate action to preserve and protect public property by expediting the
construction of public improvements, such finding of an emergency is made and
declared requiring suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration and voting
upon ordinances or resolutions at three regular meetings so that this ordinance
s passed and shall take effect upon first reading as an emergency measure this
the 21st day of May, 1985.
