AN ORDINANCE
CLOSING AND ABANDONING A PORTION OF CACTUS ROAD; PROVIDING
FOR REPLATTING.
WHEREAS, notice of the time and place for holding a hearing concerning
the closing of a portion of Cactus Road, was given by publication and mailed to
the last known addresses of the owners of property abutting the public way and
within 450 feet of the area proposed to be closed, and thereafter, pursuant to
said notice, public hearing was held at Regular Council Meeting by the City
Council of the City of Corpus Christi on May 7, 1985, in accordance with the
provisions of the City Charter; and
WHEREAS, it was determined by the City Council after such hearing that
the aforesaid portion of right-of-way, proposed to be closed, is not needed now,
nor will they be within the foreseeable future needed as public rights-of-way,
and that the same should revert to the abutting property owners, subject to
certain specified conditions.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That there is hereby closed and abandoned a portion of
Cactus Road, as shown by plat in Volume 40, Pages 122-125, Map Records, Nueces
County, Texas, and described by the metes and bounds which are attached hereto
and made a part hereof, marked Exhibit "A", subject to replatting.

through 4, Block 1, and Lots 1 through 8, Block 3, Cabaniss Industrial Park,
recorded in Volume 40, Pages 122 through 125, Map Records, Nueces County,
Texas, described as follows:
BEGINNING at the most northerly corner of said Lot 4, Block 3, Cabaniss Indus-
trial Park, said point being the intersection of the centerline of said Cactus
Road with the easterly right-of-way of the cul-de-sac, whose radius point bears
N 61° 01' 30" W, 80.00 feet, for the east corner and POINT OF BEGINNING of
this tract;
THENCE, in a southwesterly direction along the arc of a curve concave to the
northwest, having a radius of 80.00 feet, a central angle of 75° 21' 47",
105.23 feet to a point for the south corner of this tract;
THENCE, N 00° 01' 00" E, 70.51 feet to a point of curvature;
THENCE, along the arc of a curve concave to the west, having a radius of 98.41
feet, a central angle of 11° 07' 32", 19.11 feet to a point on the centerline
of said Cactus Drive;
THENCE, along said centerline, S 61° 01' 30" E, 104.74 feet to the POINT OF
BEGINNING.
CONTAINING 5,095.00 square feet, more or less.
