AN ORDINANCE
AMENDING CHAPTER 13, BUILDINGS; CONSTRUCTION; PREMISES,
ETC., SECTION 13-48, FEES FOR IMPOUNDING, STORAGE, ETC.;
CHAPTER 53, TRAFFIC, SECTION 53-60, SAME -REDEMPTION OF
VEHICLES; FEES FOR IMPOUNDING AND STORAGE; AND CHAPTER 57,
VEHICLES FOR HIRE, SECTION 5T-251, MAXIMUM WRECKER SERVICE
AND STO GE FEES; PROVIDING FOR SEVERANCE; AND PROVIDING FOR
PUBLICATION.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI,
SECTION 1. That Chapter 13, Buildings; Construction; Premises, Etc.,
of the City Code, Section 13-48, Fees for Im.oundin , Storage, Etc.; C apter 53,
Traffic, Section 53-60, Same -Redemption of VehicTes; fees for impounding and
storagge__, and Chapter 57, Vehicles for hire, Section 57-251, Maximum wrecker
service and storage fees, is hereby amended by changing the storage fee from
"four dollars ($4.00)" to "five dollars ($5.00)".
SECTION 2. If for any reason any section, paragraph, subdivision,
clause, phrase, word or provision of this ordinance shall be held invalid or
unconstitutional by final judgment of a court of competent jurisdiction, it
shall not affect any other section, paragraph, subdivision, clause, phrase, word
or provision of this ordinance for it is the definite intent of this City
Council that every section, paragraph, subdivision, clause, phrase, word or
provision hereof be given full force and effect for its purpose.
SECTION 3. Publication shall be made one time in the official
publication of the City of Corpus Christi by publishing the caption stating in
substance the purpose of the ordinance, this ordinance to become effective upon
such publication.
