AMENDING THE ZONING ORDINANCE UPON APPLICATION OF GREG
VOISIN, TRUSTEE, BY CHANGING THE ZONING MAP IN REFERENCE TO
A PORTION OUT OF LOT 29, SECTION 27, FLOUR BLUFF AND ENCINAL
FARM AND GARDEN TRACTS FROM "R -1B" ONE -FAMILY DWELLING
DISTRICT TO "R -1C" ONE -FAMILY DWELLING DISTRICT; AND
DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has forwarded to the City Council its
reports and recommendations concerning the application of Greg Voisin, Trustee,
for amendment to the zoning map of the City of Corpus Christi.
WHEREAS, public hearing was held at which hearing all person wishing
to appear and be heard were heard, to consider the same before the City Council
of the City of Corpus Christi, in accordance with proper notice to the public,
said public hearing having been held on Tuesday, June 18, 1985, at Regular
Council meeting of the City Council in the Council Chamber at City Hall in the
City of Corpus Christi; and
WHEREAS, by motion duly made, seconded and carried, it was decided by
the City Council that to approve the hereinafter set forth amendment would best
serve public health, necessity and convenience and the general welfare of the
City of Corpus Christi and its citizens:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Corpus Christi,
Texas, is amended by making the change hereinafter set out.
SECTION 2. That the zoning on a portion out of Lot 29, Section 27,
Flour Bluff and Encinal Farm and Garden Tracts in the City of Corpus Christi,
Nueces County, Texas, more fully described by metes and bounds below, be changed
from "R -1B" One -family Dwelling District to "R -1C" One -family Dwelling District:
FIELDNOTES for zoning of 7.18 acres of land out of Lot 29,
Section 27, Flour Bluff and Encinal Farm and Garden Tracts,
a map of which is recorded in Volume A, Pages 41, 42, and
43, Map Records of Nueces County, Texas:
BEGINNING at a point on the Southeast boundary line of
Lot 18, Block 9, Greenfields by the Bay Unit 2, a map of
which is recorded in Volume 48, Pages 159-160 Map Records of
Nueces County, Texas, for the West corner of this tract from
which corner the South corner of said Lot 18 bears South
20°30'07" West 20.22 feet;

THENCE, North 20°30'07" East 140.15 feet to a point for a
corner of this tract;
THENCE, North 29°05'20" East 970.23 feet to a point for a
corner of this tract;
THENCE, South 61°03'20" East 7.21 feet to a point for an
inside corner of this tract;
THENCE, North 28°56'40" East 155.00 feet to a point on the
Northeast boundary line of said Lot 29, for the North corner
of said Greenfields by the Bay Unit 2 and the North corner
of this tract;
THENCE, leaving said Southeast boundary line of Greenfields
by the Bay Unit 2, South 61°03'20" East along the
abovementioned boundary line of Lot 29, a distance of 240.00
feet to a point for the East corner of this tract;
THENCE, leaving said Northeast boundary line, South
28°56'40" West 155.00 feet to a point for an inside corner
of this tract;
THENCE, South 61°03'20" East 2.79 feet to a point for a
corner of this tract;
THENCE, South 29°05'20" West 1108.77 feet to a point on the
aforementioned common boundary line of Lot 29, Section 27,
and Lot 4, Section 26, for the South corner of this tract;
THENCE, North 61°04'40" West along said common boundary
line, 229.08 feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING.
SECTION 3. That the official zoning map of the City of Corpus
Christi, Texas, be and the same is hereby, amended as herein ordained.
SECTION 4. That the Zoning Ordinance and Map of the City of Corpus
Christi, Texas, approved on the 27th day of August, 1973, as amended from time
to time, except as herein changed, shall remain in full force and effect.
SECTION 5. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby expressly repealed.
SECTION 6. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council
members, copy attached, to find and declare an emergency due to the need for
efficient administration of City affairs by granting the aforesaid zoning
change, such finding of an emergency is made and declared requiring

suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration and voting upon ordinances
or resolutions at three regular meetings so that this ordinance is passed and
shall take effect upon first reading as an emergency measure this the 18th day
of June, 1985.

For the reasons set forth in the emergency clause of the foregoing ordinance
or resolution, an emergency exists requiring suspension of the Charter rule
as to consideration and voting upon ordinances or resolutions at three
regular meetings; I/we, therefore, request that you suspend said Charter rule
and pass this ordinance or resolution finally on the date it is introduced,
or at the present meeting of the City Council.
