AN ORDINANCE
APPROPRIATING $95,874.13 FOR REIMBURSEMENT TO VANGUARD
INTERESTS FOR THE INSTALLATION OF APPROXIMATELY 702 LINEAR
FEET OF WATER GRID MAIN AND 659 LINEAR FEET OF SANITARY
SEWER TRUNK LINE IN CONNECTION WITH THE DEVELOPMENT OF
LOTS 1, 2, AND 3, BLOCK 1, RAND MORGAN VILLAGE SUBDIVISION;
AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI,
SECTION 1. There is hereby appropriated $1,083.52 out of the
No. 143-246.95, Water Grid and Arterial Transmission Main Trust Fund and
$94,790.61 out of the No. 145-247.95, Sanitary Sewer Trunk Line Trust Fund for
reimbursement to Vanguard Interests, owner and developer of Lots 1, 2, and 3,
Block 1, Rand Morgan Village Subdivision, for the installation of approximately
702 linear feet of water grid main and 659 linear feet of sanitary sewer trunk
line, as shown on Exhibit "A", a copy of which is attached hereto and made a
part hereof, per Ordinances Nos. 17092 and 17396.
SECTION 2. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council
members, copy attached, to find and declare an emergency due to the need to
appropriate the abovementioned funds at the earliest practicable date, such
finding of an emergency is made and declared requiring suspension of the Charter
rule as to consideration and voting upon ordinances or resolutions at three
regular meetings so that this ordinance is passed and shall take effect upon
first reading as an emergency measure this the 2nd day of July, 1985.

For the reasons set forth in the emergency clause of the foregoing ordinance
or resolution, an emergency exists requiring suspension of the Charter rule
as to consideration and voting upon ordinances or resolutions at three
regular meetings; I/we, therefore, request that you suspend said Charter rule
and pass this ordinance or resolution finally on the date it is introduced,
or at the present meeting of the City Council.
