HomeMy WebLinkAbout18937 ORD - 07/23/1985• • AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 36-2, GREEN FEES SCHEDULE FOR GOLF COURSE AND GOLF CENTER, OF CHAPTER 36, PARKS, RECREATION, CULTURAL AND LEISURE TIME ACTIVITIES, TO CHANGE THE GREEN FEE SCHEDULE FOR THE GABE LOZANO AND OSO MUNICIPAL GOLF CENTERS; PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE; PROVIDING FOR SEVERANCE; AND PROVIDING FOR PUBLICATION. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That Section 36-2, Green fees schedule for golf course and golf center, of Chapter 36, Parks, Recreation, Cultural and Leisure Time Act v ties, is hereby amended to read as follows: Sec. 36-2. Greens fees schedule for golf course and golf center. The rates to be charged as green fees (daily) for use of the Oso Municipal Golf Center, to be paid by all users of that city recreational facility shall be as prescribed in the following schedule: SCHEDULE OF GREEN FEES DAILY) OSO MUNICIPAL GOLF CENTER All day, including Saturday, Sunday and holidays $ 6.50 Monday through Friday only: 18 holes 5.50 Twilight Fee, Saturday, Sunday and holidays after 4:30 p.m. 4.50 Twilight Fee, Monday through Friday after 4:30 p.m. 4.00 Senior Citizens, Monday through Friday only 2.75 Students (school children through high school grades), Monday through Friday before 11:00 a.m. or after 3:00 p.m. 3.00 The monthly card fees for use at Oso Municipal Golf Center and Gabe Lozano Golf Center to be paid by all users of those city recreational facilities shall be as prescribed in the following schedule: SCHEDULE OF GREEN FEES (MONTHLY CARDS) OSO MUNICIPAL GOLF CENTER AND GABE LOZANO GOLF CENTER Unrestricted (both courses, all days, all hours) $ 40.00 03P.097.01 1sa' 'WWII UFO Good at all times (unrestricted) -one course 35.00 Monday through Friday (at all times) 30.00 Senior Citizens (over 60 years of age and permanent residents of the City of Corpus Christi*), Monday through Friday, except holidays 20.00 Students (school children through high school grades), Monday through Friday, except holidays 15.00 *Senior citizens may prove their permanent residency with either a valid driver's license or voter's registration certificate. The rates to be charged as green fees (daily) for use of the Gabe Lozano Golf Center, to be paid by all users of that city recreational facility, shall be as prescribed in the following schedule: SCHEDULE OF GREEN FEES (DAILY) GABE LOZANO G LF CENTER Saturday, Sunday and Holidays (at all times), except as herinafter provided, for 18 holes of play $ 6.50 Monday through Friday (at all times), except as hereinafter provided, for 18 holes of play 5.50 Twilight fee, Saturday, Sunday, & holidays after 4:30 p.m. 4.50 Twilight fee, Monday thru Friday after 4:30 p.m. 4.00 Senior Citizens, Monday thru Friday only 2.75 Students (school children through high school grades), Monday through Friday, before 11:00 a.m. or after 3:00 p.m. 3.00 An 18 -hole round on the "executive nine" course, Saturday, Sunday and holidays (at all times) 4.50 A 9 -hole round on the "executive nine" course, Saturday, Sunday, and holidays (at all times) 3.00 An 18 -hole round on the "executive nine" course, Monday through Friday (at all times) 3.25 A 9 -hole round on the "executive nine" course, Monday through Friday (at all times) 2.50 03P.097.01 • • SCHEDULE OF ELECTRIC CART RENTAL FEES GABE LOZANO SR. GOLF CENTE The rates to be charged for the rental of electric golf carts at the Gabe Lozano Sr. Golf Center shall be as prescribed by the City Manager or his designee. Notwithstanding any other provision hereof, discretion is hereby vested in the City Manager, the Park and Recreation Board and the Director of Parks and Recreation Department and upon the concurrence of the City Manager and the Director of the Parks and Recreation Department with the majority of the Parks and Recreation Board, green fees may be waived during official junior championship tournaments so as to permit high school golf teams to conduct their tournaments on a municipal golf course without payment of green fees. The waiver shall apply if authorized only for official tournament play, and a separate written expression of waiver of fee shall be required for each tournament. SECTION 2. This ordinance shall take effect August 1, 1985. SECTION 3. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith be the same and are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict. SECTION 4. If for any reason any section, paragraph, subdivision, clause, phrase, word or provision of this ordinance shall be held invalid or unconstitutional by final judgment of a court of competent jurisdiction, it shall not affect any other section, paragraph, subdivision, clause, phrase, word or provision of this ordinance for it is the definite intent of this City Council that every section, paragraph, subdivision, clause, phrase, word or provision hereof be given full force and effect for its purpose. SECTION 5.
