HomeMy WebLinkAbout18954 ORD - 07/30/1985• AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE ZONING ORDINANCE UPON APPLICATION OF BEARCO DEVELOPMENT COMPANY BY CHANGING THE ZONING MAP IN REFERENCE TO A PORTION OUT OF LOT 3, BLOCK 9, J.C. RUSSELL FARM BLOCKS, FROM "I-2" LIGHT INDUSTRIAL DISTRICT TO "T -1C" MOBILE HOME SUBDIVISION DISTRICT; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has forwarded to the City Council its repor4 and recommendations concerning the application of Bearco Development Company for amendment to the zoning map of the City of Corpus Christi. WHEREAS, public hearing was held at which hearing all person wishing to appear and be heard were heard, to consider the same before the City Council of the City of Corpus Christi, in accordance with proper notice to the public, said public hearing having been held on Tuesday, July 9, 1985, at Regular Council meeting of the City Council in the Council Chamber at City Hall in the City of Corpus Christi; and WHEREAS, by motion duly made, seconded and carried, it was decided by the City Council that to approve the hereinafter set forth amendment would best serve public health, necessity and convenience and the general welfare of the City of Corpus Christi and its citizens: NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Corpus Christi, Texas, is amended by making the change hereinafter set out. SECTION 2. That the zoning on a portion out of Lot 3, Block 9, J.C. Russell Farm Blocks, and further described by metes and bounds below, in the City of Corpus Christi, Nueces County, Texas, be changed from "I-2" Light Industrial District to "T -1C" Mobile Home Subdivision District: 03P.103.01 FIELDNOTES for a 16.24 acre tract of land out of Lot 3, Block 9, J.C. Russell Farm Blocks, a map of which is recorded in Volume 28, Pages 58 and 59, Map Records of Nueces County, Texas: BEGINNING at a point on the centerline of a 40.00 foot wide drainage easement, a map of which is recorded in Volume 212, Page 247, Deed Records of Nueces County, Texas, for the Northeast corner of Lot 1, Block 1, Casa De Manana Unit 1, a map of which is recorded in Volume 39, Pages 56 and 57 of said Map Records and for the Southeast corner of the tract; 1S9 i4MICRDFILMED • THENCE West, with the North line of said Casa De Manana Unit 1, a distance of 655.00 feet for the Southwest corner of this tract; THENCE, leaving said North line, North 1080.30 feet for the Northwest corner of this tract; THENCE East 655.00 feet to a point on the aforementioned centerline of the 40.00 foot wide drainage easement for the Northeast corner of this tract; THENCE South with said centerline 1080.30 feet for the POINT OF BEGINNING. SECTION 3. That the official zoning map of the City of Corpus Christi, Texas, be and the same is hereby, amended as herein ordained. SECTION 4. That the Zoning Ordinance and Map of the City of Corpus Christi, Texas, approved on the 27th day of August, 1973, as amended from time to time, except as herein changed, shall remain in full force and effect. SECTION 5. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby expressly repealed. SECTION 6. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council members, copy attached, to find and declare an emergency due to the need for efficient administration of City affairs by granting the aforesaid zoning change, such finding of an emergency is made and declared requiring suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration and voting upon ordinances or resolutions at three regular meetings so that this ordinance is passed and shall take effect upon first reading as an emergency measure this the 9th day of July, 1985.
