HomeMy WebLinkAbout19008 ORD - 09/10/1985• AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE ZONING ORDINANCE UPON APPLICATION OF ROGER J. SEAMAN, JR. BY CHANGING THE ZONING MAP IN REFERENCE TO A PORTION OUT OF LOTS 8 AND 9, SECTION 40, FLOUR BLUFF AND ENCINAL FARM AND GARDEN TRACTS FROM "R-2" MULTIPLE DWELLING DISTRICT TO "T -1B" MOBILE HOME PARK DISTRICT; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. • WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has forwarded to the City Council its reports and recommendations concerning the application of Roger J. Seaman, Jr. for amendment to the zoning map of the City of Corpus Christi. WHEREAS, public hearing was held at which hearing all person wishing to appear and be heard were heard, to consider the same before the City Council of the City of Corpus Christi, in accordance with proper notice to the public, said public hearing having been held on Tuesday, September 10, 1985, at Regular Council meeting of the City Council in the Council Chamber at City Hall in the City of Corpus Christi; and WHEREAS, by motion duly made, seconded and carried, it was decided by the City Council that to approve the hereinafter set forth amendment would best serve public health, necessity and convenience and the general welfare of the City of Corpus Christi and its citizens: NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Corpus Christi, Texas, is amended by making the change hereinafter set out. SECTION 2. That the zoning on a portion out of Lots 8 and 9, Section 40, Flour Bluff and Encinal Farm and Garden Tracts in the City of Corpus Christi, Nueces County, Texas, further described by metes and bounds below, be changed from "R-2" Multiple Dwelling District to "T -1B" Mobile Home Park District: 040.077.01 FIELDNOTES for 22.00 acres of land, more or less, out of Lots 8 and 9, Section 40, Flour Bluff and Encinal Farm and Garden Tracts a map of which is recorded in Volume A, Pages 41, 42, 43, Map Records of Nueces County, Texas: BEGINNING at a point on the common boundary line of Lots 8 and 12, Section 40 for the south corner of this tract from which corner the West corner of Green Tree Recreational Vehicle Park Unit 1, a map of which is recorded in Volume 40, Page 160, of said Map Records bears South 61°27'50" East 1250.00 feet, more or less, and North 28°32'10" East 30.00 feet; 19008 MICROFILMED THENCE North 61°27'50" West, along the common boundary line of Lots 8 and 12 and the common boundary line of Lots 9 and 11, Section 40, 513 feet, more or less, to a point at 1.50 foot elevation and vegetation line of the Cayo Del Oso for the lower West corner of this tract; THENCE with said 1.5 foot elevation and vegetation line as follows: North 18°36'40" East 23.61 feet; North 14°28'20" East 104.96 feet; North 05°12'10" East 54.59 feet; THENCE, leaving said 1.5 foot elevation and vegetation line, North 08°57'40" East 209.74 feet for a corner of this tract; THENCE North 05°25'45" West 446.67 feet to a point on the above mentioned 1.50 foot elevation and vegetation line for a corner of this tract; THENCE with said 1.50 foot elevation and vegetation line as follows: North 37°55'30" West 26.81 feet; North 16°40'25" West 333.89 feet; North 29°58'05" West 75.65 feet for the upper West corner of this tract; THENCE leaving said 1.50 foot elevation and vegetation line, North 37°20'25" East 118.85 feet to a point on the Southwest line of a 40.00 foot wide railroad right-of-way conveyed to the United States of America by Volume 292, Pages 217, 218, Deed Records of Nueces County, Texas, for the North corner of this tract; THENCE South 63°55'40" East, along the Southwest line of said right-of-way, 1210.00 feet, more or less, for the East corner of this tract; THENCE South 28°32'10" West 1195.00 feet, more or less, to the POINT OF BEGINNING. SECTION 3. That the official zoning map of the City of Corpus Christi, Texas, be and the same is hereby, amended as herein ordained. SECTION 4. That the Zoning Ordinance and Map of the City of Corpus Christi, Texas, approved on the 27th day of August, 1973, as amended from time to time, except as herein changed, shall remain in full force and effect. 040.077.01 • • SECTION 5. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby expressly repealed. SECTION 6. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council members, copy attached, to find and declare an emergency due to the need for efficient administration of City affairs by granting the aforesaid zoning change, such finding of an emergency is made and declared requiring suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration and voting upon ordinances or resolutions at three regular meetings so that this ordinance is passed and shall take effect upon first reading as an emergency measure this the 10th day of September, 1985.
