AN ORDINANCE
AUTHORIZING THE REIMBURSEMENT TO TERCO DEVELOPMENT, INC.,
FOR THE INSTALLATION OF WATER GRID MAINS; APPROPRIATING
$96,784.11; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI,
TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That there is hereby authorized the reimbursement to Terco
Development, Inc., owner and developer of River Square Subdivision Unit 1 and
Unit 2, for the installation of approximately 3,034 linear feet of 12" water
grid main, 800 linear feet of 16" offsite water grid main, and 1,026 linear feet
of 8" offsite water distribution main, as shown on Exhibit "A", a substantial
copy of which is attached hereto and made a part hereof, per Ordinance 17092.
SECTION 2. There is hereby appropriated $73,910.21 out of the
No. 143-246.95 Water Grid and Arterial Transmission Main Trust Fund and
$22,873.90 out of the No. 143-246.96 Water Distribution Mains Trust Fund.
SECTION 3. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council
members, copy attached, to find and declare an emergency due to the need to
appropriate the abovementioned funds at the earliest practicable date, such
finding of an emergency is made and declared requiring suspension of the Charter
rule as to consideration and voting upon ordinances or resolutions at three
regular meetings so that this ordinance is passed and shall take effect upon
first reading as an emergency measure this the 8th day of October, 1985.

or resolution, an emergency exists requiring suspension of the Charter rule

or at the present meeting of the City Council.
