HomeMy WebLinkAbout19081 ORD - 11/12/1985AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $5,000 OUT OF NO. 265 MULTICULTURAL CENTER BOND FUND FOR ADDITIONAL FUNDING TO FACILITATE FINAL PAYMENT FOR ARCHITECTURAL SERVICES PROVIDED BY JAMES G. ROME, ARCHITECT, FOR CHANGE ORDER WORK ON THE GALVAN HOUSE RESTORATION AND THE MULTICULTURAL CENTER SITE IMPROVEMENT PROJECTS; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. There is hereby appropriated $5,000 out of No. 265 Multicultural Center Bond Fund for additional funding to facilitate final payment for architectural services provided by James G. Rome, Architect, for change order work on the Galvan House Restoration and the Multicultural Center Site Improvement Projects, applicable to Project No. 265-84-1.1, Galvan House Restoration. SECTION 2. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council members, copy attached, to find and declare an emergency due to the need to appropriate the abovementioned funds at the earliest practicable date, such finding of an emergency is made and declared requiring suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration and voting upon ordinances or resolutions at three regular meetings so that this ordinance is passed and shall take effect upon first reading as an emergency measure this the 12th day of November, 1985.
