AN ORDINANCE
AMENDING THE ZONING ORDINANCE BY AMENDING ARTICLE 22,
PARKING REGULATION, SECTION 22-4, DESIGN STANDARDS, AND BY
AMENDING ARTICLE 32, CERTIFICATE OF OCCUPANCY, SECTION 32-2;
AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI,
SECTION 1. That the Zoning Ordinance is hereby amended by amending
Article 22, Parking Regulation, Section 22-4, Design Standards,
Subsection 22-4.03, to hereafter read as follows:
SECTION 22-4. Design Standards
22-4.03 Driveway entrances or exits for all parking
facilities shall comply with existing
ordinances of the City of Corpus Christi,
including but not limited to the Manual of
Driveway Design and Construction Standards.
SECTION 2. That the Zoning Ordinance is hereby amended by amending
Article 32, Certificate of Occupancy, Section 32-2, to hereafter read as
follows:
SECTION 32-2 No premises shall be used and no buildings
hereafter erected or structurally altered
shall be used, occupied or changed in use,
until a Certificate of Occupancy and
compliance shall have been issued by the
Building Inspection Division, stating that the
building, or proposed use of building or premises,
complies with the building laws and the provisions of
these regulations, and that the driveway facilities
comply with the Manual of Driveway Design and
Construction Standards.
SECTION 3. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council
members, copy attached, to find and declare an emergency due to the need for
efficient and effective administration of City affairs by amending the zoning
ordinance as aforementioned, such finding of an emergency is made and declared
requiring suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration and voting upon
ordinances or resolutions at three regular meetings so that this ordinance is
passed and shall take effect upon first reading as an emergency measure this the

For the reasons set forth in the emergency clause of the foregoing ordinance
or resolution, an emergency exists requiring suspension of the Charter rule
as to consideration and voting upon ordinances or resolutions at three
regular meetings; I/we, therefore, request that you suspend said Charter rule
and pass this ordinance or resolution finally on the date it is introduced,
or at the present meeting of the City Council.
