HomeMy WebLinkAbout19126 RES - 12/17/1985A RESOLUTION CONFIRMING THE APPOINTMENT BY THE CITY MANAGER, PURSUANT TO THE CITY CHARTER, ARTICLE III, SECTION 3, OF HAL GEORGE; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That the appointment of Hal George to the position of City Attorney by the City Manager, pursuant to the City Charter, Article III, Section 3, is hereby confirmed. SECTION 2. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council members, copy attached, to find and declare an emergency due to the need for efficient administration of City affairs by making the appointment as aforesaid, such finding of an emergency is made and declared requiring suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration and voting upon ordinances or resolutions at three regular meetings so that this resolution is passed and shall take effect upon its first reading as an emergency measure this 17th day of December, 1985.
