HomeMy WebLinkAbout19130 ORD - 12/31/1985AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $250,000 FROM PARK BOND FUND 291 FOR IMPROVEMENTS AT SOUTH GUTH PARK; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. There is hereby appropriated $250,000 from Park Bond Fund 291, Account No. 291-82-1.4, South Guth Park Improvements, for improvements at South Guth Park which includes site preparation, parking areas, bike trail, boardwalk with viewing platforms, picnic tables, shelter, benches, lighting, irrigation system, and information areas and signage. SECTION 2. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council members, copy attached, to find and declare an emergency due to the need to appropriate the abovementioned funds at the earliest practicable date, such finding of an emergency is made and declared requiring suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration and voting upon ordinances or resolutions at three regular meetings so that this ordinance is passed and shall take effect upon first reading as an emergency measure this the 31st day of December, 1985.
