APPROPRIATING $13,253.50 FOR CHANGE ORDER NO. 2, PROVIDING
FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF A 10 SPACE PARKING LOT IN BEN GARZA
PARK TO SERVE THE HOWARD STREET RESIDENTS APPLICABLE TO
PROJECT NO. 220-82-7.13, HOWARD STREET IMPROVEMENTS; AND
DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI,
TEXAS:
SECTION 1. There is hereby appropriated $4,229 out of
No. 162-152-807.06, Code 502, 8th Year Community Development Block Grant, Local
Options and Contingencies and $9,024.50 from the No. 162-152-807.07, Code 502,
9th Year Community Development Block Grant, Local Options and Contingencies for
a total appropriation of $13,253.50 for Change Order No. 2, providing for the
construction of a 10 space parking lot in Ben Garza Park to serve the Howard
Street residents applicable to Project No. 220-82-7.13, Howard Street
Improvements.
SECTION 2. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council
members, copy attached, to find and declare an emergency due to the need to
appropriate the abovementioned funds at the earliest practicable date, such
finding of an emergency is made and declared requiring suspension of the Charter
rule as to consideration and voting upon ordinances or resolutions at three
regular meetings so that this ordinance is passed and shall take effect upon
first reading as an emergency measure this the 28th day of January, 1986.

or resolution, an emergency exists requiring suspension of the Charter rule

and pass this ordinance or resolution finally on the date it is introduced,
or at the present meeting of the City Council.
