A RESOLUTION
APPOINTING JOE GARZA PRESIDING JUDGE OF THE MUNICIPAL COURT
IN CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS; APPOINTING RUDY TAMEZ AND MELENE
DODSON MUNICIPAL COURT JUDGES; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI,
SECTION 1. That Joe Garza is hereby appointed Presiding Judge of the
Municipal Court in Corpus Christi, Texas, effective February 11, 1986.
SECTION 2. That Rudy Tamez and Melene Dodson are hereby appointed
Municipal Court. Judges effective February 17, 1986, and March 3, 1986
respectively.
SECTION That

efficient administration of City affairs by making the appointments as
aforesaid, such finding of an emergency is made and declared requiring
suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration and voting upon ordinances or
resolutions at three regular meetings so that this resolution is passed and
shall take effect upon first reading as an emergency measure this llth day of
February, 1985.

For the reasons set forth in the emergency clause of the foregoing ordinance
or resolution, an emergency exists requiring suspension of the Charter rule
as to consideration and voting upon ordinances or resolutions at three
regular meetings; I/we, therefore, request that you suspend said Charter rule
and pass this ordinance or resolution finally on the date it is introduced,
or at the present meeting of the City Council.
