HomeMy WebLinkAbout19204 ORD - 02/25/1986• AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE ZONING ORDINANCE UPON APPLICATION OF KAFFIE BROTHERS BY CHANGING THE ZONING MAP IN REFERENCE TO 1/2 OF LOT 4 AND LOTS 5, 6, AND 7, BLOCK 9; LOTS 8, 9, 10, AND 1/2 OF LOT 11, BLOCK 8, HOME PLACE SUBDIVISION FROM "A-2" APARTMENT HOUSE DISTRICT TO "I-2" LIGHT INDUSTRIAL DISTRICT; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has forwarded to the City Council its reports and recommendations concerning the application of Kaffie Brothers for amendment to the zoning map of the City of Corpus Christi. WHEREAS, public hearing was held at which hearing all persons wishing to appear and be heard were heard, to consider the same before the City Council of the City of Corpus Christi, in accordance with proper notice to the public, said public hearing having been held on Tuesday, February 18, 1986, at regular Council meeting of the City Council in the Council Chamber at City Hall in the City of Corpus Christi; and WHEREAS, by motion duly made, seconded and carried, it was decided by the City Council that to approve the hereinafter set forth amendment would best serve public health, necessity and convenience and the general welfare of the City of Corpus Christi and its citizens: NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Corpus Christi, Texas, is amended by making the change hereinafter set out. SECTION 2. That the zoning on 1/2 of Lot 4, Block 9; and 1/2 of Lot 11, Block 8, Home Place Subdivision, further described by metes and bounds description below; and, Lots 5, 6, and 7, Block 9 and Lots 8, 9, and 10, Block 8, Home Place Subdivision in the City of Corpus Christi, Nueces County, Texas, be changed from "A-2" Apartment House District to "I-2" Light Industrial District: 1 02G.116.02 Describing 2400 square feet more or less out of Lot 11, Block 8, Home Place Addition, as shown on Plat of Record in Volume A, Page 14, Nueces County Plat Records, Nueces County, Texas, being the south 20 feet of said Lot 11 and more particularly described by metes and bounds as follows; Beginning at a point on the east right-of-way line of existing 50 foot wide 17th Street, the northwest corner of Lot 10, the same being the southwest corner of said Lot 11 for the southwest corner of this tract; 19204 MICROFILMED Thence in a northerly direction with said east right-of-way line of 50 foot wide 17th Street, a distance of 20.0 feet more or less for the northwest corner of this tract; Thence in an easterly direction with a line 20.0 feet distant therefrom and parallel to the south line of Lot 11, the same being the north line of Lot 10, a distance of 120 feet to a point on the west line of an existing 10 foot wide alley for the northeast corner of this tract; Thence in a southerly direction with said west line of the existing 10 foot wide alley, a distance of 20.0 feet to the southeast corner of said Lot 11, the same being the northeast corner of Lot 10, for the southeast corner of this tract; Thence in a westerly direction with the north line of said Lot 10, the same being the south line of said Lot 11, a distance of 120 feet to the point of beginning. Describing 2400 square feet more or less out of Lot 4, Block 9, Home Place Addition, as shown on Plat of Record in Volume A, Page 14, Nueces County Plat Records, Nueces County, Texas, being the south 20 feet of said Lot 4 and more particularly described by metes and bounds as follows; Beginning at a point, the northwest corner of Lot 5, the same being the southwest corner of said Lot 4, Block 9 for the southwest corner of this tract; Thence in a northerly direction with the common west line of said Lots 4 and 5, a distance of 20 feet for the northwest corner of this tract; Thence in an easterly direction 20 feet distant therefrom and parallel to a line common to both Lots 4 and 5, a distance of 120 feet to a point on the west right-of-way line of existing 50 foot wide 17th Street for the northeast corner of this tract; Thence in a southerly direction with said west right-of-way line of said 17th Street, a distance of 20 feet to a point common to both Lots 4 and 5, the northeast corner of Lot 5, for the southeast corner of this tract; Thence in a westerly direction with the north line of said Lot 5 the same being the south line of Lot 4 and 02G.116.02 the south line of this tract, a distance of 120 feet for the point of beginning. SECTION 3. That the official zoning map of the City of Corpus , Christi, Texas, be and the same is hereby, amended as herein ordained. SECTION 4. That the Zoning Ordinance Corpus Christi, Texas, approved on the 27th day of from time to time, except as herein changed, shall effect. SECTION 5. That all ordinances or conflict herewith are hereby expressly repealed. SECTION 6.
