TEXAS:
AN ORDINANCE
AMENDING THE CITY CODE, CHAPTER 53, SECTION 53-254,
SCHEDULE V, INCREASE OF STATE SPEED LIMIT IN CERTAIN
ZONES; PROVIDING FOR SEVERANCE; AND PROVIDING FOR
PUBLICATION.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI,
SECTION 1. That Section 53-254 of Chapter 53 of the Corpus
Christi City Code is hereby amended to read as follows:
"by deleting the following:
Agnes Street (S.H. 44):
From a point approximately 490 feet east of
Commerce Street (Sta. 363 + 97) to a point
approximately 775 feet west of S. Clarkwood Road
(Sta. 381 + 75) - 45 mph --all times.
From a point 550 feet west of Baldwin Boulevard to
a point 20 feet west of Gibson Lane - 40
mph --at all times.

From a point 2,100 feet west of Baldwin Boulevard
to the city limits line - 45 mph --at all times.
From the midtown traffic exchange to a point 550
feet west of Baldwin Boulevard - 35 mph --at all
times.
and in lieu thereof adding:
Agnes Street (S.H. 44):
From the midtown traffic exchange to a point 550
feet west of Baldwin Boulevard - 35 mph --at all
times.
From a point 550 feet west of Baldwin Boulevard to
a point 220 feet west of Gibson Lane - 40 mph --at
all times.
From a point approximately 220 feet west of Gibson
Lane to a point 800 feet east of the International
Airport Entrance (Sta. 102 + 00) - 55 mph --at all
times.

SECTION 2. If for any reason any section, paragraph,
subdivision, clause, phrase, word or provision of this ordinance shall be
held invalid or unconstitutional by final judgment of a court of competent
jurisdiction, it shall not affect any other section, paragraph,
subdivision, clause, phrase, word or provision of this ordinance for it is
the definite intent of this City Council that every section, paragraph,
subdivision, clause, phrase, word or provision hereof be given full force
and effect for its purpose.
SECTION 3. Publication shall be made one time in the official
publication of the City of Corpus Christi by publishing the caption stating
in substance the purpose of the ordinance, this ordinance to become
effective upon such publication.
