HomeMy WebLinkAbout19249 RES - 04/01/1986A RESOLUTION WHEREAS, the City of Corpus Christi deems it necessary and proper to apply for Federal grant assistance under the Federal Water Pollution Control Act and rules and regulations pursuant thereto. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS SECTION 1. That Ernest M. Briones, Acting City Manager, as the Signatory Agent of the City of Corpus Christi or the successor of said Agent, is hereby authorized and directed to make application for grant assistance under the Federal Water Pollution Control Act and the rules and regulations pursuant thereto, specifically 40 CFR 30.315-1 (1980); and to sign the acceptance of the grant assistance, when made, and any other documents required to complete the project, on behalf of the City of Corpus Christi. SECTION 2. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council members, copy attached, to find and declare an emergency due to the need for the effective and efficient administration of City affairs, such finding of an emergency is made and declared requiring suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration and voting upon ordinances or resolutions at three regular meetings so that this, resolution is passed and shall take effect upon first reading as an emergency measure this the 1st day of April, 1986.
