AN ORDINANCE
AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF AMENDMENT NO. 3 TO THE CONTRACT
WITH COTTEN-LANDRETH ARCHITECTS FOR DESIGN AND ENGINEERING
WORK ON THE WEST CONCOURSE EXTENSION AND HOLDROOM AT CORPUS
CHRISTI INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT; APPROPRIATING $8,830; AND
DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI,
TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That the City Manager is hereby authorized to execute
Amendment No. 3 to the contract with Cotten -Landreth Architects for design and
engineering work on the West Concourse Extension and Holdroom at the Corpus
Christi International Airport (previously amended by Ordinance No. 18701 on
February 19, 1985, and Ordinance No. 18993 on August 27, 1985) which provides
for an expanded scope of work and additional architectural fees, all as more
fully set forth in the Architectural Contract Agreement, a substantial copy of
which is attached hereto and made a part hereof, marked Exhibit "A".
SECTION 2. That there is hereby appropriated $8,830 from the No. 245
Airport Bond Fund applicable to Project No. 245-82-2, Ticket Wing Expansion.
SECTION 3. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council
members, copy attached, to find and declare an emergency due to the need of
executing the abovementioned amendment at the earliest practicable date, such
finding of an emergency is made and declared requiring suspension of the Charter
rule as to consideration and voting upon ordinances or resolutions at three
regular meetings so that this ordinance is passed and shall take effect upon
first reading as an emergency measure this the 15th day of April, 1986.

AMENDMENT NO. 3 TO THE AGREEMENT
FOR ARCHITECTURAL SERVICES ON THE
CORPUS CHRISTI INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT
THE STATE OF TEXAS §
COUNTY OF NUECES §
The City of Corpus Christi hereinafter called "City", and
Cotten -Landreth, Inc., hereinafter called "Architect", hereby agree to the
following amendment to the agreement for Architectural Services dated
February 22, 1984 as amended by Ordinances No. 18701 and No. 18993 on
February 19, 1985 and August 27, 1985 respectively.
ARTICLE III, SCOPE OF SERVICES of the aforesaid agreement dated
August 27, 1985 is hereby amended to add items of work as follows:
K. .DISPLAY: This project includes the preparation of a
display with renderings of the completed Airport Terminal
Building and Concourse Expansion Improvements and includes
the items listed below:
RENDERINGS: (Professional - Prelim, Inc.)
1. One black and white, with applied color, site
plan (includes two full size color photographs of
rendering).
2. One fully colored rendered birds -eye view of new
terminal building from approximately Highway 44
(includes two full size color photographs of
rendering).
Display plans and architectural lettering
Display construction and set-up
Display parts assembly and coordination
ARTICLE IV, FEE of the aforesaid agreement dated August 27, 1985 is
hereby amended to add:
FEES FOR OTHER SERVICES:
The City will pay the Architect an additional fixed fee of $8,830
for the Display with renderings of the completed Airport Terminal Building and
Concourse Expansion Improvements. The fee is allocated to the various items
as follows:

For the reasons set forth in the emergency clause of the foregoing ordinance
or resolution, an emergency exists requiring suspension of the Charter rule
as to consideration and voting upon ordinances or resolutions at three

and pass this ordinance or resolution finally on the date it is introduced,
or at the present meeting of the City Council.
