TEXAS:
AN ORDINANCE
AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF SUPPLEMENTAL AMENDMENT NO. 3
TO AN AGREEMENT WITH THE FEDERAL AVIATION ADMINISTRATION
PREVIOUSLY APPROVED BY ORDINANCE NO. 18944 TO INCLUDE THE
INSTALLATION OF A VISUAL APPROACH SLOPE INDICATOR (VASI) AND
MEDIUM INTENSITY APPROACH LIGHTING SYSTEM (MALS) TO AID
RUNWAY 13 APPROACHES; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI,
SECTION 1. That the City Manager is hereby authorized to execute
Amendment No. 3 to an agreement with the Federal Aviation Administration
previously approved by Ordinance No. 18944 to include the installation of a
visual approach slope indicator (VASI) and medium intensity approach lighting
system (MALS) to aid Runway 13 approaches, all as more fully set forth in
Amendment No. 3, a substantial copy of which is attached hereto and made a part
hereof, marked Exhibit "A".
SECTION 2. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council
members, copy attached, to find and declare an emergency due to the need of
executing the abovementioned amendment at the earliest practicable date, such
finding of an emergency is made and declared requiring suspension of the Charter
rule as to consideration and voting upon ordinances or resolutions at three
regular meetings so that this ordinance is passed and shall take effect upon
first reading as an emergency measure this the 29th day of April, 1986.

SUPPLEMENTAL AGREEMENT NO. 3
THIS SUPPLEMENTAL AGREEMENT, made and entered into this
day of 1986, by and between the UNITED STATES OF
AMERICA, hereinafter referred to as the Government, represented by the
Federal Aviation Administration, and the CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS,
hereinafter referred to as the Licensor, whose address is P.O. Box 9277,
Corpus Christi, Texas, WITNESSETH, That:
WHEREAS, on the 27th day of June 1980, the parties hereunto entered
into License No. DOT-FA78SW-1073, as amended by Supplemental Agreement
Nos. 1 and 2, dated August 22, 1981, and July 26, 1984, respectively, for
the purposes and considerations stated in said license; and
WHEREAS, the Government has a requirement for two sites upon which to
install, operate, and maintain Visual Approach Slope Indicator (VASI) and
Medium Intensity Approach Lighting System (MALS), Runway 13, Corpus
Christi International Airport, in accordance with FAA Drawing SW -D -9924-1A
dated March 22, 1982, with restrictions thereon, attached hereto and made
a part hereof; and
WHEREAS, the parties hereto find it to their mutual benefit and
advantage to further amend said license, as amended, for the purposes
stated above.
'NOW, THEREFORE, effective May 15, 1986, the parties hereto agree to
amend said license in the following particulars only, VIZ:
The Licensor grants the Government a site upon which to install,
operate, and maintain a VASI and MALS on Runway 13, Corpus Christi
International Airport, in accordance with Drawing SW -D -9924-1A dated
March 22, 1982, and restrictions thereon, attached hereto and made a
part hereof.
ALL OTHER TERMS AND CONDITIONS of the license, as amended, are hereby
ratified and except as amended hereinabove shall remain the same.
