CLOSING AND ABANDONING A PORTION OF THE 40 -FOOT WIDE PUBLIC
STREET RIGHT-OF-WAY OUT OF LOTS 26 & 27, SECTION 11, AND
LOTS 6 & 7, SECTION 10, FLOUR BLUFF AND ENCINAL FARM AND
GARDEN TRACTS; PROVIDING FOR REPLATTING.
WHEREAS, notice of the time and place for holding a hearing concerning
the closing of a portion of the 40 -foot wide public street right-of-way out of
Lots 26 & 27, Section 11, and Lots 6 & 7, Section 10, Flour Bluff and Encinal
Farm and Garden Tracts, was given by publication and mailed to the last known
addresses of the owners of property abutting the public way and within 450 feet
of the area proposed to be closed, and thereafter, pursuant to said notice,
public hearing was held at regular Council Meeting by the City Council of the
City of Corpus Christi on April 8, 1986, in accordance with the provisions of
the City Charter; and
WHEREAS, it was determined by the City Council after such hearing that
the aforesaid portion of right-of-way, proposed to be closed, is not needed now,
nor will they be within the foreseeable future needed as public rights-of-way,
and that the same should revert to the abutting property owners, subject to
certain specified conditions:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That there is hereby closed and abandoned a portion of the
40 -foot wide public street right-of-way out of Lots 26 & 27, Section 11, and
Lots 6 & 7, Section 10, Flour Bluff and Encinal Farm and Garden Tracts, as
shown by plat in Volume A, Pages 41-43, Map Records, Nueces County, Texas, and
described by a map and the metes and bounds which are attached hereto and made a
part hereof, marked Exhibits "A" and "B" respectively, providing for replatting.

Section 11 and Lots 6 and 7, Section 10, Flour Bluff and Encinal Farm end Darden Tracts a map of
which is recorded in Volume A, Pages 41-43, Map Records of Nueces County, Texas
BEGINNING ata point on the Northwest boundary line of said Lot 27 for the Northwest
corner of this tract from which corner a 1/2 inch iron rod found for the West corner of Lot 20,
Block 10, Brighton Village Unit 4, a map of which is recorded in Volume 49, Pages 117-119 bears
North 28'53'14" East 1301.95 feet;
THENCE South 61'07'45" East 950.90 feet for the point of curvature of a circular curve
to the right whose radius point bears South 34'28'03" West 2825.13 feet which has a central
angle of 02°24'12", a radius of 2825.13 feet, a tangent distance of 59.26 feet and an arc length of
118.50 feet;
THENCE with said circular curve to the right, 118.50 feet for the point of tangency;
THENCE South 53°07'45" East 100.00 feet for the point of curvature of a circular curve
to the left which has a central angle of 02°02'42", a radius of 2780.44 feet, a tangent distance of
49.63 feet and an arc length of 99.24 feet;
