AN ORDINANCE
APPROPRIATING $75,000 OUT OF THE NO. 295 STORM SEWER BOND
FUND TO SUPPLEMENT A PREVIOUS APPROPRIATION OF $175,000,
AUTHORIZED BY PASSAGE OF ORDINANCE 13943, DATED JULY 30,
1985, FOR A TOTAL OF $250,000 PROVIDING FOR THE CITY'S SHARE
OF CONSTRUCTION COSTS FOR THE REPLACEMENT OF A MULTIPLE BOX
CULVERT ON STATE HIGHWAY 44 AT CLARKWOOD DITCH; AND
DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI,
SECTION 1. There is hereby appropriated $75,000 out of the No. 295
Storm Sewer Bond Fund to supplement a previous appropriation of $175,000,
authorized by passage of Ordinance 13943, dated July 30, 1985, for a total of
$250,000 providing for the City's share of construction costs for the
replacement of a multiple box culvert on State Highway 44 at the Clarkwood Ditch
applicable to Project No. 295-85-1.1, McNorton Area Drainage Improvements.
SECTION 2. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council
members, copy attached, to find and declare an emergency due to the need to
appropriate the abovementioned funds at the earliest practicable date, such
finding of an emergency is made and declared requiring suspension of the Charter
rule as to consideration and voting upon ordinances or resolutions at three
regular meetings so that this ordinance is passed and shall take effect upon
first reading as an emergency measure this the 13th day of May, 1986.

or resolution, an emergency exists requiring suspension of the Charter rule
as to consideration and voting upon ordinances or resolutions at three
regular meetings; I/we, therefore, request that you suspend said Charter rule
and pass this ordinance or resolution finally on the date it is introduced,
or at the present meeting of the City Council.
