AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 19200 PASSED AND APPROVED ON
FEBRUARY 25, 1986, BY AMENDING SECTION 3 IN ORDER TO ADOPT
THE FINAL ASSESSMENT ROLL FOR STREET IMPROVEMENTS ON THE
FOLLOWING STREETS:
Ocean Drive Sidewalk/Bikeway
Ocean Drive (East Side), from Cole Park to the Driveway
Entrance of the Emerald Beach Holiday Inn at Buford Street;
AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI,
TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That Ordinance No. 19200, passed and approved February 25,
1986, be amended by amending Section 3 so as to adopt the final assessment roll
and assessments levied against owners of abutting property on the following
streets:
Ocean Drive Sidewalk/Bikeway
Ocean Drive (East Side), from Cole Park to the Driveway
Entrance of the Emerald Beach Holiday Inn at Buford Street;
a substantial copy of which assessment role is attached hereto and made a part
hereof, marked Exhibit "A".
SECTION 2. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council
members, copy attached, to find and declare an emergency due to the need for
efficient and effective administration of City affairs by the adoption of the
final, corrected assessment roll as aforesaid, such finding of an emergency is
made and declared requiring suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration
and voting upon ordinances or resolutions at three regular meetings so that this
ordinance is passed and shall take effect upon first reading as an emergency
measure this the 1st day of July, 1986.

Final Assessment Roll
Ocean Drive Sidewalk/Bikeway
Improvements
The Ocean Drive Sidewalk/Bikeway improvement project shall include improve-
ments to the following street:
Ocean Drive, east side only, from the access road at Cole Park to
the Emerald Beach Holiday Inn entrance at Buford Street.
This sidewalk section shall be constructed of reinforced concrete, 7' wide,
and tied to the curb. A wooden railing, 40" high, will be constructed along
the bluff side of the sidewalk.
The assessment rate has been calculated based on the Scotch Investment
Company's 1963 agreement with the City of Corpus Christi pertaining to the
C. G. Glasscock Bayfront Addition. The low bid for this project was submitted
by A. Ortiz Construction and Paving, Inc. The assessment rate is as follows:
