AN ORDINANCE
APPROVING THE DEVELOPER'S APPLICATION FOR REIMBURSEMENT IN
THE AMOUNT OF $52,857.32 FOR THE INSTALLATION OF
APPROXIMATELY 758 LINEAR FEET OF SANITARY SEWER COLLECTION
LINE EXTENSION IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE DEVELOPMENT OF LA
COSTA UNIT I SUBDIVISION; APPROPRIATING $40,000; AND
DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI,
TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That the application for reimbursement in the amount of
$52,857.32 for the installation of approximately 758 linear feet of 8" and 10"
diameter sanitary sewer collection line extension in conjunction with the
development of La Costa Unit I subdivision as shown on attached Exhibit "A," per
Ordinance No. 17396, is hereby approved.
SECTION 2. There is hereby appropriated $40,000 out of the
No. 145-247.96, Sanitary Sewer Collection Line Trust Fund and authorizing
payment in this amount to the Murray Group and Southern National Bank, owners
and developers of this subdivision, as partial reimbursement for the sewer line
construction.
SECTION 3. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council
members, copy attached, to find and declare an emergency due to the need to
take immediate action to preserve and protect public property by expediting the
construction of public improvements, such finding of an emergency is made and
declared requiring suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration and voting
upon ordinances or resolutions at three regular meetings so that this ordinance
is passed and shall take effect upon first reading as an emergency measure this
the 1st day of July, 1986.

or resolution, an emergency exists requiring suspension of the Charter rule
as to consideration and voting upon ordinances or resolutions at three

and pass this ordinance or resolution finally on the date it is introduced,
or at the present meeting of the City Council.
