HomeMy WebLinkAbout19403 ORD - 07/29/1986• ; TEXAS: AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 55-100 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES, CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, 1976 REVISION, SO AS TO PROVIDE CERTAIN INCREASES IN WASTEWATER RATES; PROVIDING FOR REPEAL OF ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; AND PROVIDING FOR PUBLICATION. • BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, SECTION 1. That Section 55-100 of the Code of Ordinances, City of Corpus Christi, 1976 Revision, be and the same is hereby amended by amending the schedule of rates and the rate schedule only thereof to hereafter read as follows: SCHEDULE OF RATES BASED UPON WATER CONSUMPTION FOR WASTEWATER SERVICE CUSTOMERS WITH WASTEWATER CHARACTERISTICS OF 250 PARTS PER MILLION OR LESS OF BIOCHEMICAL OXYGEN DEMAND, AND 250 PARTS PER MILLION OR LESS OF SUSPENDED SOLIDS. If for any reason any. section, paragraph, subdivision, clause, phrase, word, or provision of this ordinance shall be held invalid or unconstitutional by final judgment of a court of competent jurisdiction, it shall not affect any other section, paragraph, subdivision, clause, phrase, word, or provision of this ordinance, for it is the definite intent of this City Council that every section, paragraph, subdivision, clause, phrase, word, or provision hereof be given full force and effect for its purpose. SECTION 4. The rates established in Section 1 of this ordinance shall be applied against all wastewater service provided beginning with Cycle 1 on or. around July 26, 1986, and shall be billed to customers beginning on or around August 26, 1986. SECTION 5.
