HomeMy WebLinkAbout19416 ORD - 08/05/1986TEXAS: AN ORDINANCE • AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 19318 BY AMENDING SECTION 3 IN ORDER TO ADOPT THE FINAL ASSESSMENT ROLL FOR STREET IMPROVEMENTS ON THE FOLLOWING STREETS: Gray Village Addition Alley, North of Block 3 for 300 Linear Feet Behind Omaha Appliance Company and TV Channel III Properties; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, SECTION 1. That Ordinance No. 19318, passed and approved May 20, 1986, be amended by amending Section 3 so as to adopt the final assessment roll and assessments levied against owners of abutting property on the following streets: - Gray Village Addition Alley, North of Block 3 for 300 Linear Feet Behind Omaha Appliance Company and TV Channel III Properties; a substantial copy of which assessment role is attached hereto and made a part hereof, marked Exhibit "A". SECTION 2. That upon written request of the Mayor .or five Council members, copy attached, to find and declare an emergency due to the need for efficient and effective administration of City affairs by the adoption of the final, corrected assessment roll as aforesaid, such finding of an emergency is made and declared requiring suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration and voting upon ordinances or resolutions at three regular meetings so that this ordinance is passed and shall take effect upon first reading as an emergency measure this the 5th day of August, 1986. Gray Village Addition Alley, North of Block 3 for 300 Linear Feet Behind Omaha Appliance Company and TV Channel III Properties. This alleyway shall be constructed by excavation to a width and depth to permit the laying of a 20 foot wide alley section with a compacted subgrade, 6" caliche base sealed with a double seal coat or 1" hot asphalt surface. The assessment rates have been calculated in accordance with the City's assess- ment policy.
