HomeMy WebLinkAbout19421 ORD - 08/05/1986AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $80,000 FROM THE NO. 269 LIBRARY BOND FUND FOR ADDITIONAL FUNDS TO FACILITATE FINAL PAYMENT TO THE CONTRACTOR, HAYLEY CORPORATION AND RICHARD I. HAYLEY, A JOINT VENTURE, APPLICABLE TO PROJECT NO. 269-82-1.1, CENTRAL PUBLIC LIBRARY; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. There is hereby appropriated $80,000 from the No. 269 Library Bond Fund providing additional funds to facilitate final payment to the Contractor, Hayley Corporation and Richard I. Hayley, a Joint Venture,. applicable to Project No. 269-82-1.1, Central Public Library. SECTION 2. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council members, copy attached, to find and declare an emergency due to the need to appropriate the abovementioned funds at the earliest practicable date, such finding of an emergency is made and declared requiring suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration and voting upon ordinances or resolutions at three regular meetings so that this ordinance is passed and shall take effect upon first reading as an emergency measure this the 5th day of August, 1986.
