HomeMy WebLinkAbout19430 ORD - 08/05/1986AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE PLATTING ORDINANCE NO. 4168, BY AMENDING SECTION IV, DESIGN STANDARDS, SUBSECTION A, STREETS, AND SUBSECTION E, LOTS, BY ADDING NEW PARAGRAPHS TO EACH AND AMENDING SECTION VI, EXCEPTIONS, SUBSECTION C, PLATTED LOTS, BY REWORDING PARAGRAPH C.1; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That the Platting Ordinance No. 4168 is hereby amended by amending Section IV, Design Standards, Subsection A, Street, by adding a new paragraph 11.1 to read as follows: 11.1 When replatting occurs as a result of a rezoning from a residential classification to a business classification, additional dedication of public right-of-way shall be required to satisfy the following: (a) Public right-of-way shall be dedicated such that the width of dedicated right-of-way along the frontage of the replatted lot measures thirty-five (35) feet to the centerline; (b) Replatted lots located at the corner of intersection streets shall dedicate additional right-of-way required for intersection widening consistent with the Corpus Christi Urban Transportation Plan. SECTION 2. That the Platting Ordinance No. 4168 is hereby amended by amending Section IV, Design Standards, Subsection E, Lots, by adding a new paragraph 2(d) to read as follows: (d) When replatting occurs as a result of a rezoning from a residential classification to a business classification, each replatted lot shall be no less than one -hundred (100) feet in width at the building line and shall abut a public street for a continuous distance of not less than one hundred (100) feet and shall consist of not less than 7,500 square feet in area. Additionally, driveway access shall be limited to one approach for each one hundred (100) feet of street frontage with a minimum property line clearance of twenty-five (25) feet of tangent curb length; a note to this effect shall be properly entered on the plat to be recorded. 08P.044.01 19430 MICROFILMED para ra SECTION 3.
