HomeMy WebLinkAbout19471 ORD - 09/09/1986AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE EXPENDITURE OF $351,000 FROM THE IMPROVEMENT PROJECTS ACCOUNT OF THE PARKING IMPROVEMENT FUND IN SUPPORT' OF THE HARBOR BRIDGE LANDSCAPING AND LIGHTING PROJECT; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO SIGN THE APPROPRIATE DOCUMENTS; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. There is hereby authorized an expenditure of $351,000 from the Improvement Projects Account No. 105-232-531.12 of the Parking Improvement Fund in support of the Harbor Bridge Landscaping and Lighting Project. SECTION 2. That the City Manager is hereby authorized to sign the appropriate documents relating to this project. SECTION 3. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council members, copy attached, to find and declare an emergency due to the need to appropriate the abovementioned funds at the earliest practicable date, such finding of an emergency is made and declared requiring suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration and voting upon ordinances or resolutions at three regular meetings so that this ordinance is passed and shall take effect upon first reading as an emergency measure this the 9th day of September, 1986.
