HomeMy WebLinkAbout19520 ORD - 10/14/1986TEXAS: AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF DOCUMENTS NECESSARY FOR CONVEYANCE OF CLOSED PORTION OF WACO STREET TO THE COUNTY OF NUECES FOR $94,500; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, SECTION 1. That the City Manager is hereby authorized to execute documents necessary to convey by Special Warranty Deed the closed 60 -foot wide portion of Waco from Lipan Street to Mestina Street, said portion to be closed being more fully described on Exhibit "A" attached hereto, for a cash consideration of $94,500. SECTION 2. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council members, copy attached, to find and declare an emergency due to the need of executing the abovementioned Special Warranty Deed at the earliest prac- ticable date, such finding of an emergency is made and declared requiring suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration and voting upon ordi- nances or resolutions at three regular meetings so that this ordinance is passed and Joa11 take effect upon first reading as an emergency measure this the / day of October, 1986.
