ACCEPTING THE O.N. STEVENS WATER FILTRATION PLANT EXPANSION
PROJECT; AUTHORIZING FINAL PAYMENT OF $509,000 TO SANDERS -
MIDWEST, INC. AND $7,933.26 TO ETHERIDGE ENGINEERING, INC.;
APPROPRIATING $240,000; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI,
TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That the 0. N. Stevens Water filtration Plant Expansion
project is hereby accepted and that final payment of $509,000 to Sanders -
Midwest, Inc. is hereby authorized subject to payment of all sub -contractors and
suppliers and $7,933.26 to Etheridge Engineering, Inc.
SECTION 2. There is hereby appropriated $240,000 from the Water
Construction Bond Fund, Project No. 205-81-1.
SECTION 3. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council
members, copy attached, to find and declare an emergency due to the need to
appropriate the abovementioned funds at the earliest practicable date, such
finding of an emergency is made and declared requiring suspension of the Charter
rule as to consideration and voting upon ordinances or res 1 tions at three
regular meetings so that this ordinance is passed,Ind shall ke effect upon
fir reading as an emergency measure this theay of

For the reasons set forth in the emergency clause of the foregoing ordinance
or resolution, an emergency exists requiring suspension of the Charter rule
as to consideration and voting upon ordinances or resolutions at three
regular meetings; I/we, therefore, request that you suspend said Charter rule
and pass this ordinance or resolution finally on the date it is introduced,
or at the present meeting of the City Council.
