AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 19268 BY AMENDING SECTION 3 IN ORDER TO ADOPT THE FINAL ASSESSMENT ROLL FOR STREET IMPROVEMENTS ON THE FOLLOWING STREET: 16th and 17th Streets 1. 16th Street, from Ayers Street to Morgan Avenue, and 2. 17th Street, from Ayers Street to Elizabeth Street; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That Ordinance No. 19268, passed and approved April 15, 1986„ be amended by amending Section 3 so as to adopt the final assessment roll and assessments levied against owners of abutting property on the following street: 16th and 17th Streets 1. 16th Street, from Ayers Street to Morgan Avenue, and 2. 17th Street, from Ayers Street to Elizabeth Street; a substantial copy of which assessment role is attached hereto and made a part hereof, marked Exhibit "A". SECTION 2. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council members, copy attached, to find and declare an emergency due to the need for efficient and effective administration of City affairs by the adoption of the final, corrected assessment roll as aforesaid, such finding of an emergency is made and declared requiring suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration and voting upon ordinances or re lutions at three regular meetings so that this ordinance is passed g47, shall t e effect upon first rgading as an emergency measure this the /� day of �., , 19X% . i ATTEST:' City Secretary -:66 APPROVED: DAY OF HAL GEORGE, CITY ATTO O1P.066.01 MAYOR THE CI Y OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS , 19 e7 19603MICROFILMED FINAL ASSESSMENT ROLL 16TH AND 17TH STREET IMPROVEMENTS The 16th and 17th Street improvements shall include improvement to the following streets: - 16th and 17th Streets 1. 16th Street, from Ayers Street to Morgan Avenue, and 2. 17th Street, from Ayers Street to Elizabeth Street. These streets shall be constructed by excavation to a width and depth to permit the laying of a 6" standard curb and gutter section, 6" compacted subgrade, 8" compacted caliche base, and 11/2" Type "D" Hot Mix asphaltic pavement. The streets will be 28 feet in width measured from the back of curb and constructed within the existing right-of-way. There will be 4' wide reinforced concrete sidewalks, 4" thick and 6" thick reinforced concrete driveways constructed as shown on the plans. The assessment rates have been calculated in accordance with the City's latest paving policy.
