AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 19602 WHICH CHANGED THE ZONING FROM
"R -1B" ONE -FAMILY DWELLING DISTRICT TO "AB" PROFESSIONAL
OFFICE DISTRICT UPON APPLICATION OF HOWARD C. WALKER BY
CORRECTING THE LEGAL DESCRIPTION; AND DECLARING AN
EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI,
TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That Ordinance No. 19602 dated January 6, 1987, which
changed the zoning from "R -1B" One -family Dwelling District to "AB" Professional
Office District upon application of Howard C. Walker be amended by correcting
the legal description to read "Lot 2, Block A, Airline No. 1."
SECTION 2. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council
members, copy attached, to find and declare an emergency due to the need for
efficient and effective administration of City affairs, such finding of an
emergency is made and declared requiring suspension of the Charter rule as to
consideration and voting upon ordinances or resolutions at three regular
meetings so that this ordinance is passed and shall take effect upon first

For the reasons set forth in the emergency clause of the foregoing ordinance
or resolution, an emergency exists requiring suspension of the Charter rule
as to consideration and voting upon ordinances or resolutions at three
regular meetings; I/we, therefore, request that you suspend said Charter rule
and pass this ordinance or resolution finally on the date it is introduced,
or at the present meeting of the City Council.

Motion
Amending the ordinance accepting the donation of the Jalufka House and approving
a 20 year lease agreement with the Czech Heritage Society of South Texas prior
to third reading by accepting the donation upon passage of first reading on
December 30, 1986.
