HomeMy WebLinkAbout19653 ORD - 02/26/1987TEXAS: A RESOLUTION RATIFYING AND CONFIRMING THE APPOINTMENT BY THE CITY MANAGER, PURSUANT TO THE CITY CHARTER, ARTICLE II, SECTION 3, OF DEWARD D. GEORGE HEXT; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, SECTION 1. That the appointment of Deward D. George Hext to the position of Director of Aviation, pursuant to the City Charter, Article III, Section 3, is hereby ratified and confirmed. SECTION 2. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council members, copy attached, to find and declare an emergency due to the need for efficient and effective administration of City affairs, such finding of an emergency is made and declared requiring suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration and voting upon ordinances or resolutions at three regular meetings so that this resolution is passed and shall take effect upon first reading as an emergency measure this the $-fi day of VIC'rI , 19n .
