HomeMy WebLinkAbout19710 ORD - 03/27/1987AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE ZONING ORDINANCE UPON APPLICATION OF NORTH PARK HYUNDAI BY CHANGING THE ZONING MAP IN REFERENCE TO A PORTION OF LOT 2, SECTION 3, BOHEMIAN COLONY LANDS FROM "B-1" NEIGHBORHOOD BUSINESS DISTRICT TO "B-4" GENERAL BUSINESS DISTRICT; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has forwarded to the City Council its reports and recommendations concerning the application of North Park Hyundai for amendment to the zoning map of the City of Corpus Christi. WHEREAS, public hearing was held at which hearing all persons wishing to appear and be heard were heard, to consider the same before the City Council of the City of Corpus Christi, in accordance with proper notice to the public, said public hearing having been held on Tuesday, April 14, 1987, at regular Council meeting of the City Council in the Council Chamber at City Hall in the City of Corpus Christi; and WHEREAS, by motion duly made, seconded and carried, it was decided by the City Council that to approve the hereinafter set forth amendment would best serve public health, necessity and convenience and the general welfare of the City of Corpus Christi and its citizens: NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Corpus Christi, Texas, is amended by making the change hereinafter set out. SECTION 2. That the zoning on a portion a Lot 2, Section 3, Bohemian Colony Lands in the City of Corpus Christi, Nueces County, Texas, and further described by metes and bounds be changed from "B-1" Neighborhood Business District to "6-4" General Business District: 04P.051.01 Description of 0.489 acres of land, more or less, out of Lot 2, Section 3, Bohemian Colony Lands, a map of which is recorded in Volume A, Page 48, Map Records of said county, said 0.489 acre tract as further described by metes and bounds as follows: Beginning at a 5/8" iron rod set at the westernmost corner of Lot F, Boulevard Acres, a map of which is recorded in Volume 9, Page 48, said Map Records, said beginning point for the northernmost corner of this tract; Thence S 61°18'37" E, 141.89' along the southwest boundary line of said Lot F to a 5/8" iron rod set for the easternmost corner of this tract; 1971° MICROFILMED Thence S 29°00'00" W 150.12' to a 5/8" iron rod set for the southernmost corner of this tract and being in the centerline of future Johanna Street and northeast boundary line of a 25' strip dedicated for street; Thence along said centerline of future Johanna Street being said northeast boundary line of 25' strip dedicated for street N 61°15'53" W 141.90' to a 5/8" iron rod found for the westernmost corner of this tract; Thence across an additional 25' strip dedicated for street N 29°00'00" E 25.00' to a 5/8" iron rod found for a westerly corner of this tract and southernmost corner of Lot E-1, Boulevard Acres, a map of which is recorded in Volume 39, Page 52, said map records; Thence along the southeast boundary line of said Lot E-1 N 29°00'10" E 125.00' to the Point of Beginning. SECTION 3. That the official zoning map of the City of Corpus Christi, Texas, be and the same is hereby, amended as herein ordained. SECTION 4. That the Zoning Ordinance and Map of the City of Corpus Christi, Texas, approved on the 27th day of August, 1937, as amended from time to time, except as herein changed, shall remain in full force and effect. SECTION 5. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby expressly repealed. SECTION 6.
