HomeMy WebLinkAbout19734 ORD - 04/17/1987AN•ORDINANCE AMENDING THE ZONING ORDINANCE BY AMENDING ARTICLE 27, SUPPLEMENTARY HEIGHT, AREA, AND BULK REQUIREMENTS, SECTION 27-3, BY AMENDING SUBSECTION 27-3.04.05; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That the Zoning Ordinance is hereby amended by amending Article 27, Supplementary Height, Area, and Bulk Requirements, Section 27-3, by amending Subsection 27-3.04.05 to read as follows: 27-3.04.05 In a residential district and on a corner lot, private garages and carports detached or attached to the main building, which are entered from the side street, shall maintain a yard of twenty (20) feet in front of the garage or carport from such side street. SECTION 2. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council members, copy attached, to find and declare an emergency due to the need for efficient and effective administration of City affairs, such finding of an emergency is made and declared requiring suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration and voting upon ordinances or resolutions at three regular meetings so that this ordinance is passed and shall t ke effect upon first reading as an emergency measure this the 5+h day of _, 19g7 .
