AMENDING THE MASTER PLAN FOR STORM DRAINAGE FOR THE AREA
WEST OF CLARKWOOD ROAD AND THE FLOUR BLUFF AREA OF CORPUS
CHRISTI; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI,
TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That the Master Plan be amended for storm drainage in the
area west of Clarkwood Road and the Flour Bluff area of Corpus Christi, as
prepared by Naismith Engineers, Inc., and adopted by Ordinance No. 10843 on
May 3, 1972, relating to Plates 29, 31, 32, 34, and 35 of said plan by modifying
the drainage areas along Flour Bluff Drive between Padre Island Drive and Purdue
Road.
SECTION 2. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council
members, copy attached, to find and declare an emergency due to the need for
efficient and effective administration of City affairs, such finding of an
emergency is made and declared requiring suspension of the Charter rule as to
consideration and voting upon ordinances or resolutions at three regular
meetings so that this ordinance is passed and shall take effect u on first
reading as an emergency measure this the 0# day of _, 196. .

For the reasons set forth in the emergency clause of the foregoing ordinance
or resolution, an emergency exists requiring suspension of the Charter rule
as to consideration and voting upon ordinances or resolutions at three
regular meetings; I/we, therefore, request that you suspend said Charter rule
and pass this ordinance or resolution finally on the date it is introduced,
or at the present meeting of the City Council.
