DECLARING TERMINATION OF THE INTENT TO ASSESS CERTAIN
PROPERTY IN CONNECTION WITH STREET IMPROVEMENTS AS SET FORTH
IN ORDINANCE NO. 19721, AND THE NOTICE OF THE CITY SECRETARY
FILED IN THE OFFICE OF THE COUNTY CLERK OF NUECES COUNTY,
TEXAS; AUTHORIZING THE GENERAL RELEASE OF ALL PROPERTIES
ABUTTING ON THE FOLLOWING STREET AFFECTED BY REASON OF SAID
NOTICE IN CONNECTION WITH STREET IMPROVEMENTS:
Bel Air Drive, From Waldron Road westward 885 feet to the
existing improvements;
AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI,
TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That the termination of the intent to assess certain
property in connection with street improvements as set forth in Ordinance 19721,
passed and approved on April 28, 1987, and the Notice of the City Secretary
filed in the office of the County Clerk of Nueces County, Texas, on the 7th Day
of May 1987, and recorded in Volume 2059, Page 898, of the Deed Records of
Nueces County, Texas, is hereby declared.
SECTION 2. That the City Manager is hereby authorized to execute a
general release of all properties abutting on the following street affected by
reason of said Notice in connection with street improvements: Bel Air Drive,
from Waldron Road westward 885 feet to the existing improvements.
SECTION 3. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council
members, copy attached, to find and declare an emergency due to the need for
efficient and effective administration of City affairs, such finding of an
emergency is made and declared requiring suspension of the Charter rule as to
consideration and voting upon ordinances at three regular meetings so that this
ordinance is passed and shall take effect u on first reading as an emergency

For the reasons set forth in the emergency clause of the foregoing ordinance
or resolution, an emergency exists requiring suspension of the Charter rule
as to consideration and voting upon ordinances or resolutions at three
regular meetings; I/we, therefore, request that you suspend said Charter rule
and pass this ordinance or resolution finally on the date it is introduced,
or at the present meeting of the City Council.
