AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF A CONTRACT WITH HAAS PAVING,
INC. FOR IMPROVEMENTS TO McARDLE ROAD FROM AYERS STREET TO
CARROLL LANE; APPROPRIATING $1,436,000.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI,
TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That the City Manager is hereby authorized to execute a
contract with Haas Paving, Inc. for improvements to McArdle Road from Ayers
Street to Carroll Lane, all as more fully set forth in plans and specifications
and contract documents on file in the office of the City Secretary, all of which
are made a part hereof by reference and according to the bid of Haas Paving,
Inc., said bid being the lowest and most advantageous to the City of Corpus
Christi.
SECTION 2. That there is hereby appropriated $200,000 from the
No. 205 Water Bond Fund applicable to Project No. 205-87-44-001-01.2, $895,000
from the No. 561 Street Bond Fund applicable to Project No. 561-86-7.1, and
$341,000 from the No. 220 Street Bond Fund applicable to Project No. 220-77-14.1
for a total appropriation of $1,436,000 of which $1,325,790.45 is for the
contract award and $110,209.55 is for additional engineering, contingencies, and
incidental and related expenses applicable to McArdle Road/Ayers to Carroll
Lane.
