APPROPRIATING $3,516.25 FOR THE PURCHASE OF PERMANENT ART IN
PEBBLE, WINROCK, AND CENIZO NEIGHBORHOOD PARKS; AUTHORIZING
THE APPOINTMENT OF AN ART SELECTION PANEL FOR THE SELECTION
OF ART WORK FOR THESE PARKS.
WHEREAS, it is the wish of the City Council to provide permanent art
in neighborhood parks for the enjoyment of the community; and
WHEREAS, Pebble, Winrock, and Cenizo neighborhood parks have been
selected to receive permanent art utilizing 11 percent of monies allocated for
these parks out of the 1986 Capital Improvements Program; and
WHEREAS, it is the request of the Municipal Arts Commission to be
authorized by the City Council of the City of Corpus Christi to appoint one art
selection panel to select art work for Pebble, Winrock and Cenizo neighborhood
parks;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS:
SECTION 1. There is hereby appropriated $3,516.25 from the Park Bond
Fund 551 of which $1,282.50, $1,481.25 and $752.50 is for the purchase of
permanent art in Pebble, Winrock and Cenizo neighborhood parks, respectively.
SECTION 2. That the Municipal Arts Commission is hereby authorized to
appoint one art selection panel for the selection of permanent art in Pebble,
Winrock, and Cenizo neighborhood parks.
