AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF A CONTRACT WITH JOHNSON GOLF
COURSE CONSTRUCTION, INC. FOR IMPROVEMENTS TO THE OSO AND
GABE LOZANO, SR. GOLF COURSES; AUTHORIZING DEDUCTIVE CHANGE
ORDER NO. 1 IN THE AMOUNT OF $44,220.00 FOR A NET CONTRACT
AWARD OF $826,681.42; APPROPRIATING $870,901.42.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI,
TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That the City Manager is hereby authorized to execute a
contract with Johnson Golf Course Construction, Inc. for improvements to the Oso
and Gabe Lozano; Sr. Golf Courses, all as more fully set forth in plans and
specifications and contract documents on file in the office of the City
Secretary, all of which are made a part hereof by reference and according to the
bid of Johnson Golf Course Construction, Inc., said bid being the lowest and
most advantageous to the City of Corpus Christi.
SECTION 2. That there is hereby authorized deductive Change Order
No. 1 in the amount of $44,220.00 for a net contract award of $826,681.42.
SECTION 3. That there is hereby appropriated $676,901.42 from the
No. 551 Park Bond Fund and $194,000 from the Gabe Lozano Sr. Golf Center Fund,
of which $826,681.42 is for the contract award and $44,220 is for contingencies
and incidental and related expenses applicable to Project No. 551-86-5.1, Golf
Course Improvements.
