ANNEXING 11 AREAS CONTAINING 33,172.02± ACRES OF
GOVERNMENTALLY OWNED LAND.
WHEREAS, on September 2, 1987, September 16, 1987, and September 8,
1987, public hearings were duly held following publication of due notice of said
hearing in the official newspaper, pursuant to Article 970a, V.A.C.S., Texas, as
amended, for the consideration of institution of proceedings for the annexation
of defined area wholly within the extraterritorial jurisdiction of the City of
Corpus Christi, more particularly described by metes and bounds as hereinafter
set forth, at which all interested persons were afforded an opportunity to be
heard, and by motion duly made, seconded and carried the said hearing was closed
September 16, 1987; and
WHEREAS, it has been determined by the City Council that the territory
within said tract or parcel of land, now proposed to be annexed, abuts and is
contiguous and adjacent to the City of Corpus Christi and constitutes lands and
territories subject to annexation as provided by the City Charter Article I,
Section 2c; and
WHEREAS, it has been determined that it would be advantageous to the
City and to its citizens and in the public interest to annex the aforesaid lands
and territory hereinafter described:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That the tracts or parcels of land as set forth in the
attached Exhibit A are hereby annexed, said parcels or tracts being described by
metes and bounds as shown therein.
The said described areas shall hereafter be a part of the City of
Corpus Christi, Texas, and shall be subject to the general laws of the State of
Texas, the City Charter, and the ordinances, resolutions, motions, laws, rules
and regulations of the City of Corpus Christi, to all intents and purposes as
the present City of Corpus Christi is so subject, and subject to all the rights,
privileges and burdens thereof.
SECTION 2. If for any reason any section, paragraph, subdivision,
clause, phrase, word or provision of this ordinance shall be held invalid or
unconstitutional by final judgment of a court of competent jurisdiction, it
shall not affect any other section, paragraph, subdivision, clause, phrase,
word or provision of this ordinance, for it is the definite intent of this City
Council that every section, paragraph, subdivision, clause, phrase, word or
provision hereof be given full force and effect for its purpose.

'TRACT A-1
A segment of U. S. Highway 77 R.O.W. containing 1.40 acres,
more or less, described by metes and bounds as follows:
Beginning at a point on the present city liit line as
established by Ordinance No. 6636, dated September 19, 1962, the
intersection of the northwesterly extension of the southwest
boundary line of Country Estates Subdivision Unit 11, as shown on
Plat of Record in Volume 49, Pages 175 and 176, Nueces County Map
Records, Nueces County, Texas and the old west R.O.W. like of
approximately 100 foot wide, U. S. Highway 77, for the southeast
corner of this tract;
Thence in a westerly direction with said extension of the
southwest boundary line of Country Estates Unit 11, a distance of
108.00 feet, more or less, to a point on the present west R.O.W.
line of U. S. Highway 77, for the southwest corner of this tract;
Thence in a northerly direction with -said present west R.O.W.
line of U. S. Highway 77, the east boundary line of Nueces Town
west as shown on Plat of Record in Volume 52, Pages 1-2, Nueces
County Map Records, Nueces County, Texas,.a distance of 620.0 feet,
more or less, to a corner in the present city limit line for the
northwest corner of this tract;
Thence in an easterly direction with- said present city limit
line, a distance of 124.0 feet, more or less, to:a°point on the old

northeast corner of this tract;

A 25.02 -acre tract, more or less, being a portion of Saratoga
Boulevard (State Highway 357) R.O.W., described by metes and bounds
as follows:
Beginning at a point on the present city limit line, the north
R.O.W. line of Saratoga Boulevard (State Highway 357), said point
being the intersection between the west property line of the
Westside Wastewater Treatment Plant (city limit line established by
Ordinance No. 9270, dated March 12, 1969), and the said north
R.O.W. line of Saratoga Boulevard (city limit line established by
Ordinance No. 6636 dated September 19, 1962) for the east corner of
this tract;
Thence in a southwesterly direction with said present city
limit line, crossing Saratoga Boulevard, a distance of 120.00 feet,
more or less, to the northwest corner of said Westside Wastewater
Treatment Plant tract for the south corner of this tract;
Thence in a northwesterly direction with said present city
limit line, the south R.O.W. line of Saratoga Boulevard, its
flare -outs, curves, and angles, at 7,450 feet, more or less, past
County Road 37, a distance in all of 7,870 feet, more or less, to a
point on said present city limit line as established by Ordinance

1.36 acres, more or less, described by metes and bounds as follows:
Beginning at a point on the present city limit line as
established by Ordinance No. 19966 dated December 7, 1983, said
point being on the west R.O.W. line of the original 40.00 foot wide
Cimarron Boulevard (County Road 13) at the intersection with the
northwesterly extension of the southwest boundary line of Brighton
Village Unit 1 as shown on Plat of Record in Volume 47, Pages 8-10,
Nueces County Map Records, Nueces County, Texas for the north
corner of this tract;
Thence in a southwesterly direction with the said west R.O.W.
line of the original 40.00 foot wide Cimarron Boulevard (County
Road 13), a distance of 3,285.00 feet, more or less, to a point for
the southeast corner of this tract;
Thence in a northwesterly direction at right angles to the
southeast R.O.W. line of said 40.00 foot wide Cimarron Boulevard
(County Road 13), a distance of 20.00 feet, more or less, to a
point on the centerline (the present city limit line) for the
southwest corner of this tract;
Thence in a northeasterly direction with said centerline of

A segment of Saratoga Boulevard (State Highway 357) containing
7.17 acres, more or less, as described by metes and bounds as
follows:
Beginning at a point on the present city limit line, the
intersection of the east R.O.W. line of 80.00 foot wide Airline
Road and the north R.O.W. line of 120.00 foot wide Saratoga
Boulevard for the northwest corner of this tract;
Thence in a southeasterly direction with the said north R.O.W.
line of 120.00 foot wide Saratoga Boulevard, the present city limit
line, a distance of 1,980.00 feet, more or less, to a corner in
said present city limit line and the northeast corner of this
tract;
Thence in a southwesterly direction with the present city
limit line, crossing Saratoga Boulevard, at right angles, 120.00
feet, more or less, to a point on the south R.O.W. line of said
Saratoga Boulevard, for the southwest corner of this tract;
Thence in a northwesterly direction with the south R.O.W. line
of Saratoga Boulevard, a distance of 1,900.00 feet, more or less,
to a point on the east R.O.W. line of 80.00 foot wide, Airline
Road, for the southwest corner of this tract;
Thence in a northerly direction with said east R.O.W. line of

A 10.77 -acre tract of land, more or less, out of a portion of
Lot 19, Section 19, portion of Lot 32, Section 27, Lots 8-9,
Section 20 and Lots 1 and 16, Section 26, Flour Bluff and Encinal
Farm and Garden Tracts as shown on Plat of Records in Volume A,
Pages 41-43, Nueces County Map Records, Nueces County, Texas, and
particularly described by metes and bounds as follows:
Beginning at a point, in the north R.O.W. line of a 120.00
foot wide Saratoga Boulevard with the intersection of the
northeasterly extension of the east boundary line of Lot 7, Section
20, Flour Bluff and Encinal Farm and Garden Tracts and being the
present city limit line as established by Annexation Ordinance No.
10865 dated May 17, 1972 for the northernmost corner of this tract;
Thence in a southeasterly direction, a distance of 800.0 feet,
more or less, to a point, in the extension of the northern R.O.W.
line of a 120.0 foot wide Saratoga Boulevard, same being the
present city limit line as per Annexation Ordinance No. 6636 dated
September 19, 1962 and'intersected by the east R.O.W. flare -out
line of Rodd Field Road for a corner of this tract;
Thence in a southerly direction, a distance of 70.0 feet, more
or less, to a point in the east R.O.W. flare -out line of Rodd Field
Road and present city limit line as per Annexation Ordinance No.
18374 dated August 7, 1984 for a corner of this -_tract;
Thence in a southerly direction 20.0 feet, more or less, to a
point being a corner of the present city limit line as established
by Annexation Ordinance No. 16926 dated March 10, 1982 and present
city limit line and east R.O.W. line of Rodd Field Road for a
corner of this tract;
Thence in a southwesterly direction, following the east R.O.W.
line of Rodd Field Road with its angles and flare -outs of Rodd
Field Road as established by Annexation Ordinance No. 16926 dated
March 10, 1982 to a point, in the north R.O.W. line of County Road
26, for the south corner of this tract;
Thence in a northwesterly direction, to a point, in the west
R.O.W. line of 120.0 foot wide Rodd Field Road and the extension of
the north R.O.W. line of County Road 26 for the southwest corner of
this tract;
Thence in a northerly direction, to a point, following the
angles, lines and curves in the west R.O.W. line of 120.0 foot wide
Rodd Field Road to the point of tangency with the south R.O.W. line
of 120.0 foot wide Saratoga Boulevard and present city limit line
as per Annexation Ordinance No. 10865 dated May 17, 1972, for the
northwest corner of this tract;

TRACT B-1
A city -owned 151.0 acre tract of land, more or less, out of
Lots 1, 2, 5, and 6, Section 16 of Bohemian Colony Lands, as shown
on Plat of Record in Volume A, Page 48, Nueces County Map Records,
Nueces County, Texas, and more particularly described by metes and
bounds as follows:
Beginning at a point on the present city limit line, as
established by Annexation Ordinance No. 13701 dated April 21, 1977,
its intersection with the west R.O.W. line of 60.00 foot wide
Greenwood Drive for the northwest corner of this tract;
Thence in a southeasterly direction with said present city
limit line, a distance of 3,020 feet, more or less, to a point for
the northeast corner of this tract;
Thence in a southwesterly direction with a line parallel to
said west R.O.W. line of 60.00 foot wide Greenwood Drive, and
approximately 3,020 feet distant therefrom, to a point on the
northerly low waterline of the Oso Creek for the southeast corner
of this tract;
Thence in a westerly direction with the meanders of the
northerly low waterline of the Oso Creek, to a point, its
intersection with the southerly extension of the west R.O.W. line
of 60.00 foot wide Greenwood Drive for the southwest corner of this
tract;
Thence in a northeasterly direction with said west R.O.W. line
of 60 foot wide Greenwood Drive, to a point, for the point of
beginning.
TRACT C-1
An area of 874 acres, more or less, consisting of a portion of
State Tract D, all of State Tracts E, F, G, and a portion of Tract
H, as shown on Submerged Area Maps No. 2797-423 and No. 2797-424,
on record in the Texas State General Land Office and described by
metes and bounds as follows:
Beginning at a point, the intersection of the low waterline on
the southerly side of Cayo Del Oso and the present city limit line
as established by Annexation Ordinance No. 6636 dated September 19,
1962, being the easterly extension of the north R.O.W. line of 120
foot wide Saratoga Boulevard (State Highway 357), for the north
corner of this tract;
Thence in a general southwesterly direction with the meanders
of said low waterline on the southerly side of Cayo Del Oso and Oso
Creek, to a point, the intersection with the southerly extension of
the east military reservation boundary line of Cabaniss Field, for
the west corner of this tract;
Thence in a northerly direction with the southerly extension
of the said east boundary line of said Cabaniss Field, crossing Oso
Creek, to a point on the low waterline on the northerly side of
said Oso Creek, for the north corner of this tract;
Thence in a general northeasterly directionwith the meanders
of said low waterline on the northerly side of Oso Creek and Cayo
Del Oso, to a point, the intersection with the present city limit
line, for the east corner of this tract;
Thence in a southeasterly direction with said present city
limit line, crossing Cayo Del Oso, to the point of beginning.
TRACT C-2
An area of 605 acres, more or less, out of State Tracts No.
385, 386, 387, 388, and 404 as shown on Submerged Area Map No.
2797-441, on record in the Texas State General Land Office, more
particularly described by metes and bounds as follows:
Beginning at a point on the present city limit line as
established by Ordinance No. 11201 dated December 13, 1972, the
common corner between State Tract Nos. 484, 485, 384, and 385 for
the north corner of this tract;
Thence in a southeasterly direction with the northeast
boundary line of said State Tract No. 385, to a point, for a
corner;
Thence in a southwesterly direction with the northwest
boundary line of the said William Little Survey, Abstract No.
A-214, to a point, its southwest corner, for an inside corner of
this tract;
Thence in a southeasterly direction with the southwest
boundary line of the said William Little Survey, Abstract No. 214,
to a point, the west corner of said survey for an inside corner of
this tract;
Thence in a southwesterly direction with the west boundary
line common to the Samuel Ward Survey, Abstract No. A-407; the
Samuel Ward Survey, Abstract No. A-406, and the Edward Hall Survey,
Abstract No. A-160, to a point, the southwest corner of the Samuel
Ward Survey, Abstract No. A-407, for an inside corner of this
tract;
Thence in a southeasterly direction with the south boundary
line of the Samuel Ward Survey, Abstract No. A-407, to a point, the
northwest corner of the William Little Survey, Abstract No. A-212,
for a corner;
Thence in a southwesterly direction with the west line of the
said William Little Survey, Abstract No. A-212, to a point, the
southeast corner of State Tract No. 404, for a corner;
Thence in a northwesterly direction with said present city
limit line, to a point, the southeast corner of said State Tract
No. 388, said point being on the east boundary line of State Tract

TRACT D-1
A 31,488 -acre area, more or less, of water in the Gulf of
Mexico, consisting of all or parts of State Tracts No. 747, 748,
772, 773, 795, 796, 818, 819, 868, 869, 870, 871, 875, 876, 877,
878, 882, 883, 884, 887, 888, 889, 890, 891, 892, 895, 896, 897,
898, 899, 902, 903, 904, 905, 909, 910, 911, 912, 913, 914, 917,
918, 919, 920, 921, 925, 926, 927, 928, 932, 933, 934, 935, 936,
940, 941, 942, 943, 944, and 946, said area being located east of
and adjacent to the city limits as described by Annexation
Ordinance No. 15415 dated March 19, 1980 and described by metes and
bounds as follows:
Commencing by establishing a "base" (straight) line between
two points, called, Points "A" and "B," specifically for the purpose
of this description and defining Point "A" as the intersection
between the present city limit line, the Padre Island shoreline on
the Gulf of Mexico side and the northeasterly boundary line of the
Padre Island National Seashore Park and defining Point "B" as the
intersection -between the present city limit line, the Mustang
Island shoreline on the Gulf of Mexico side and the one-half (1/2)
mile extraterritorial jurisdiction line of the City of Port of
Aransas;
Thence in a southeasterly direction, leaving said Point "B"
with a line at right angles to the aforementioned "base" line, to a
point, its intersection with the present city` limit line, a line
parallel to the Padre and Mustang Island shorelines and two (2)
miles distant therefrom, for the northwest corner of this tract and
the point of beginning;
Thence continuing in a southeasterly direction with said line
extended from Point "B" at right angles to the aforementioned base
line, a distance of 1.45 miles to a point, for the northeast
corner of this tract;
Thence in a southwesterly direction with a line parallel to
the aforementioned "base" line and 3.45 miles distant therefrom, to
a point, its intersection with a line extended in a southeasterly
direction from Point "A" at right angles to the aforementioned
"base" line, for the southeast corner of this tract;
Thence in a northwesterly direction with said extended line
aat right angles to the aforementioned "base" line, a distance of
3.45 miles to said Point "A" for the southwest corner of this
tract;
Thence in an easterly direction with the present city limit
line, the easterly extension of the aforementioned northeasterly
boundary line of the Padre Island National Seashore Park, to a
corner in said present city limit line, formed with a line two (2)
miles from and parallel to the Padre and Mustang Island shorelines
on the Gulf of Mexico side, as per aforementioned Ordinance No.
15415 dated March 19, 1980 for an inside corner of this tract;

ANNEXING 11 AREAS CONTAINING 33,172.02± ACRES OF
GOVERNMENTALLY OWNED LAND.
WHEREAS, on September 2, 1987, September 16, 1987, and September 8,
1987, public hearings were duly held following publication of due notice of said
hearing in the official newspaper, pursuant to Article 970a, V.A.C.S., Texas, as
amended, for the consideration of institution of proceedings for the annexation
of defined area wholly within the extraterritorial jurisdiction of the City of
Corpus Christi, more particularly described by metes and bounds as hereinafter
set forth, at which all interested persons were afforded an opportunity to be
heard, and by motion duly made, seconded and carried the said hearing was closed
September 16, 1987; and
WHEREAS, it has been determined by the City Council that the territory
within said tract or parcel of land, now proposed to be annexed, abuts and is
contiguous and adjacent to the City of Corpus Christi and constitutes lands and
territories subject to annexation as provided by the City Charter Article I,
Section 2c; and
WHEREAS, it has been determined that it would be advantageous to the
City and to its citizens and in the public interest to annex the aforesaid lands
and territory hereinafter described:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That the tracts or parcels of land as set forth in the
attached Exhibit A are hereby annexed, said parcels or tracts being described by
metes and bounds as shown therein.
The said described areas shall hereafter be a part of the City of
Corpus Christi, Texas, and shall be subject to the general laws of the State of
Texas, the City Charter, and the ordinances, resolutions, motions, laws, rules
and regulations of the City of Corpus Christi, to all intents and purposes as
the present City of Corpus Christi is so subject, and subject to all the rights,
privileges and burdens thereof.
SECTION 2. If for any reason any section, paragraph, subdivision,
clause, phrase', word orprovision of this ordinance shall be held invalid or
unconstitutional by final judgment of a court of competent jurisdiction, it
shall not affect -any other section, paragraph, subdivision, clause, phrase,
word or provisioAf•this ordinance, for it is the definite intent of this City
Council that��every,.section, paragraph, subdivision, clause, phrase, word or
provision hereof`be`!°given full force and effect for its purpose.
