AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF AN AMENDMENT TO THE
PSYCHOLOGIST AGREEMENT WITH DR. M. DEE KOCH FOR
PSYCHOLOGICAL SERVICES FOR THE POLICE DEPARTMENT AND AIRPORT
SECURITY.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI,
TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That the City Manager is hereby authorized to execute an
amendment to the psychologist agreement with Dr. M. Dee Koch for psychological
services for the Police Department and Airport Security, all as more fully set
forth in the amendment, a substantial copy of which is attached hereto and made
a part hereof, marked Exhibit A.

AMENDMENT TO
PSYCHOLOGIST AGREEMENT
KNOW ALL BY THESE PRESENTS:
This Amendment hereby amends that certain Agreement made and entered
into by and between the City of Corpus Christi, a municipal corporation situated
in Nueces County, Texas, acting through its duly authorized officers
(hereinafter "City") and Dr. M. Koch, 5315 Everhart, Corpus Christi, Texas
(hereinafter "Psychologist");
WHEREAS the City desires to retain the services of Psychologist to
include the Airport Security Police;
NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of the mutual covenants and
agreements contained herein, City and Psychologist agree to amend that certain
Agreement effective August 1, 1987, as follows:
I.
Psychologist shall provide services and materials as directed by the police
chief of the City according to the requirements of said City's police department
and as directed by the Director of Aviation for purposes of the Airport Security
Police. City does not guarantee or warrant to Psychologist that the maximum
amount of hours provided herein shall be utilized. All services shall be
performed in a professional manner. All matters not covered in detail shall be
performed in a manner consistent with the standards now prevailing in the
discipline of professional psychology.
II.
This Agreement shall be effective as of August 1, 1987, and shall continue
until July 31, 1988. The schedule of services to be performed shall conform to
the reasonable needs of said police department as determined by said police
chief and the reasonable needs of the Airport Security Police as determined by
the Director of Aviation. Records shall be kept and maintained in a
professional manner by Psychologist documenting hours worked and detailing
services rendered. Time sheets containing such information shall be presented
by Psychologist to City on a monthly basis, and payment shall be made by City on
a monthly basis at the rate of $25.00 per hour. In no event shall services be
rendered in excess of the maximum contract price of $42,200.00 without prior
written approval by the City.
This Agreement shall not be assignable by either party without prior
written consent of the other party.

IV.
If any provision of this Agreement is declared or found to be illegal,
unenforceable at law or void, neither party hereto shall be relieved of any
other obligations arising under the Agreement; and if capable of performance,
the remainder of the Agreement shall not be affected thereby.
V.
All amounts due hereunder and all obligations performed hereunder are to be
paid and are performable in Nueces County, Texas, and all questions arising
under this Agreement shall be construed and resolved according to the laws of
the State of Texas.
VI.
Except as may otherwise be provided herein, this Agreement shall be subject
to amendment only with the mutual consent of the parties hereto.
VII.
This Agreement may be terminated for convenience by either party at any
time by notice in writing to the other party at least thirty (30) days prior to
the effective date of such termination.
This Agreement in no way affects
all applicable laws, ordinances and
governments.
All powers not explicitly vested
