HERNDON BY GRANTING A SPECIAL COUNCIL PERMIT FOR AN AUTO AIR CONDITIONING REPAIR SHOP WITH ASSOCIATED ENGINE REPAIR ON LOT 24 AND A PORTION OF LOT 25, BLOCK 6, KOOLSIDE ADDITION; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has forwarded to the City Council its reports and recommendations concerning the application of Ben L. Herndon, for amendment to the zoning map of the City of Corpus Christi; WHEREAS, public hearing was held at which hearing all persons wishing to appear and be heard were heard, to consider the same before the City Council of the City of Corpus Christi, in accordance with proper notice to the public, said public hearing having been held on Tuesday, November 3, 1987, during a meeting of the City Council in the Council Chamber at City Hall in the City of Corpus Christi; and WHEREAS, by motion duly made, seconded and carried, it was decided by the City Council that to approve the hereinafter set forth amendment would best serve public health, necessity and convenience and the general welfare of the City of Corpus Christi and its citizens: NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Corpus Christi, Texas, is amended by making the change hereinafter set out. SECTION 2. That a Special Council Permit be granted on Lot 24 and a portion of Lot 25, Block 6, Koolside Addition, situated in the City of Corpus Christi, Nueces County, Texas, and described by metes and bounds below, for an auto air conditioning repair shop with associated engine repair which hours of operation shall be limited to 8:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m., according to the site plan, a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part hereof, marked Exhibit "A", and subject to all other considerations of "B-1" Neighborhood Business District. FIELDNOTES for a 16,681.80 square foot tract of land comprised of all of Lot 24 and the remaining portion of Lot 25, Block 6, Koolside Addition, a map of which is recorded in Volume 13, Pages 32 and 33, Map Records of Nueces County, Texas: BEGINNING at a point on the West boundary line of Airline Road for the Northeast corner of Lot 23, said Block 6, the Southeast corner of said Lot 24 and the Southeast corner of this tract; THENCE North 87° 14' 00" West, along the common boundary line of said Lots 23 and 24, a distance of 135.00 feet for the common corner of Lots 23, 24, 27, and 28, said Block 6, and the Southwest corner of this tract; THENCE North 02° 46' 00" East, along the common boundary line of said ppLSots 24 and 27, at 70.00 feet pass the common corner of said Lots 24, 204BC002.p& and 27, and continuing North 02° 46' 00" East, along the 2006S MICROFILMED common boundary line of said Lots 25 and 26, in all a distance of 125.00 feet to a point on the existing South boundary line of Gollihar Road for the Northwest corner of this tract; THENCE South 87° 14' 00" East, along said South boundary line of Gollihar Road, 105.00 feet for the point of curvature of a circular to the right which has a central angle of 90° 00' 00", a radius of 30.00 feet, a tangent distance of 30.00 feet and an arc length of 47.12 feet; THENCE, with said curve to the right, 47.12 feet to a point on the West boundary line of Airline Road for the point of tangency; THENCE South 02° 46' 00" West, along said West boundary line of Airline Road, at 25.00 feet pass the Southeast corner of said Lot 25 and the Northeast corner of said Lot 24, and continuing South 02° 46' 00" West, along said West boundary line, in all a distance of 95.00 feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING. In the event the Board of Adjustment grants any special exception or variance to the Zoning Ordinance, applicable to the Special Permit herein granted, other than the one specified in this Special Permit, said Special Permit shall be void and of no force and effect whatsoever. SECTION 3. That the official zoning map of the City of Corpus Christi, Texas, be and the same is hereby, amended as herein ordained. SECTION 4. That the Zoning Ordinance and Map of the City of Corpus Christi, Texas, approved on the 27th day of August, 1937, as amended from time to time, except as herein changed, shall remain in full force and effect. SECTION 5. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby expressly repealed. SECTION 6.
