AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF A CONTRACT WITH TENNESSEE
PIPELINE CONSTRUCTION COMPANY FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF BUS
TURNOUTS ON STAPLES STREET AT PADRE STAPLES MALL, ON AIRLINE
AND McARDLE AT SUNRISE MALL, AND ON LEOPARD STREET AT THE
LIGHTHOUSE FOR THE BLIND; APPROPRIATING $76,641.75.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI,
TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That the City Manager is hereby authorized to execute a
contract with Tennessee Pipeline Construction Company for the construction of
bus turnouts on Staples Street at Padre Staples Mall, on Airline and McArdle at
Sunrise Mall, and on Leopard Street at the Lighthouse for the Blind, all as more
fully set forth in plans and specifications and contract documents on file in
the office of the City Secretary, all of which are made a part hereof by
reference and according to the bid of Tennessee Pipeline Construction Company,
said bid being the lowest and most advantageous to the City of Corpus Christi.
SECTION 2. That there is hereby appropriated $76,641.75 from the 220
Street Bond Fund of which $61,760.00 is for the contract award and $14,881.75 is
for additional engineering, contingencies and incidental and related expenses
applicable to Project 220-87-44-8.1, 1987 Bus Turnouts.
