AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF A CONTRACT WITH HAAS PAVING
COMPANY, INC. FOR DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENTS IN THE McNORTON AREA
OF THE CITY; APPROPRIATING $989,371.78.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI,
TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That the City Manager is hereby authorized to execute a
contract with Haas Paving Company, Inc. for drainage improvements in the
McNorton Area of the City, all as more fully set forth in plans and
specifications and contract documents on file in the office of the City
Secretary, all of which are made a part hereof by reference and according to the
bid of Haas Paving Company, Inc., said bid being the lowest and most
advantageous to the City of Corpus Christi.
SECTION 2. That there is hereby appropriated $10,340.00 from the 250
Sanitary Sewer Bond Fund applicable to Project 250-87-44-4.1, $45,409.00 from
the 205 Water Bond Fund applicable to Project 205-87-44-2.7, $12,142.88 from the
162-152-807.07, 9th Year Community Development Block Grant, $605,534.90 from the
511 Storm Sewer Bond Fund applicable to Project No. 511-86-3.1, and $315,945.00
from the 220 Street Bond Fund applicable to Project 220-82-7.10, to supplement
$4,628.22 previously appropriated from the 162-152-807.08, 10th Year Community
Development Block Grant, for a total of $994,000.00 of which $934,977.00 is for
the contract award and $59,023.00 is for additional engineering, contingencies,
testing, and incidental and related expenses.
