AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF A CONTRACT WITH A. ORTIZ
CONSTRUCTION & PAVING, INC. FOR SIDEWALK IMPROVEMENTS ON
EVERHART ROAD, WOOLDRIDGE ROAD, AND PATTON STREET;
APPROPRIATING $132,644.77.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI,
TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That the City Manager is hereby authorized to execute a
contract with A. Ortiz Construction & Paving, Inc. for sidewalk improvements on
Everhart Road, Wooldridge Road, and Patton Street, all as more fully set forth
in plans and specifications and contract documents on file in the office of the
City Secretary, all of which are made a part hereof by reference and according
to the bid of A. Ortiz Construction & Paving, Inc., said bid being the lowest
and most advantageous to the City of Corpus Christi.
SECTION 2. That there is hereby appropriated $132,644.77 from the 561
Street Bond Fund of which $114,178.90 is for the contract award and $18,465.87
is for additional engineering, contingencies, testing, printing, legal
advertising and incidental and related expenses applicable to Project
No. 561-87-44-12.1, Everhart/Wooldridge/Patton Sidewalk Improvements.
